Nokia N8 meets Bluetooth mouse and keyboard, has a good time (video)
No, we're not revealing some great hidden feature here -- Nokias have been able to pair with Bluetooth devices since pretty much forever -- but throw a complete set of desktop implements together with the Finnish company's greatest new phone, and sparks of interest do fly. In this case, a pair of keen fellas have hooked a portable keyboard and a Logitech mouse up to the N8 and had some fun videotaping their exploits. If you're thinking this would make a pretty killer combination with the N8 plugged into an HDTV, well... you'd be right. Catch the video after the break.

@nicolasgoddone, depends on what is more important to you, name your prime needs and then you can easily compare and choose the right device for you. However, where did you get the idea that Samy Galaxy S is more extensible/hackable? Symbian^3 is completely opensource, in more parts than the Android platform. So, if you are not afraid to get your hands dirty, you could actually extend and hack the life out of the N8, probably more than you could do to the Galaxy...
@incognito We had a group of talented fellows develop a Symbian app for the Nokia N78 to handle autofocus that was lacking in JavaME for a custom app... they managed to, but almost pissed blood in the process and claimed Symbian was amongst the most horrible languages they worked with. True that Symbian might be very extensible but we'll just have to see how much of the older versions code can work/compile under the Symbian ^3...
Android has too much momentum right now and its only getting bigger, plus I like/use java and linux a lot, that shifts weight in the scale towards sammy, besides having owned a Samsung D900 for 4 years without any failures after multiple drops just place their built quality at least on the par with nokia, and I say at least because in those days all nokias felt filmsy and thick compared to it.... than again, the sensor in the N8 blows every-single-mobilephone cam out of the water
@nicolasgoddone That is why QT is going to be implemented in Symbian ^3 to make it easier for devolpers.
@YorchArturo Hmm, QT 4.6 is certainly nice, besides, all Symbian^3 UI will be hardware accelerated compared to software rendered android...
Goodby HTPC, hello N8!
Have you seen the keyboard before? I haven't.
It said "Nokia", the N8 seemed to be attached to it in angled position. I also saw a hinge (for folding).
Sorry, found it already:
