PlayStation Move shooting attachment in pictures: the ray gun you always dreamed of
We heard a mention of the PlayStation Move shooting attachment in Sony's Move E3 press release, but now that we've seen photos of the thing we think we're in love. The trigger of the attachment locks in with the analog "T" trigger button of the slotted-in Move controller for some sweet, shoot-tastic shooting, while the face buttons of the controller remain accessible thanks to a window cutout up top. But while we're sure it works great and all that silly nonsense, we're just totally enamored with the looks: it's like a 1950's ray gun, and with a light-up ball on the end and the future of motion gaming at your fingertips, perhaps that's not so far from the truth. The ray gun part. The 50's were actually a pretty bad year for motion controlled console gaming.

It looks like a gun blowing bubblegum lol
personally, i prefer the wii perfect shot. with the weight and design you feel pretty badass wielding it, especially double wield. this, not to much. reminds me of the old school ping pong pop guns.
@armodon
I prefer HD!! Nuff Said
@elijahblake
i'm sure we all do, but we're not talking about hd. we're talking about butt ugly ray guns that even space explorers from 60s scifi would be embarrassed to lug around.
Now how much is this going to cost? The price of Move seems to be climbing.
Priced at 100$ for move controller + PlayStation eye + game. Not to bad if you ask me.
I believe the controller has more 'power' then compared to the Wii so there will be more options for the developers do make very nice looking attachments.
Maybe it is a little bit like a wii. But a wii with HD images. 3D and also normal gaming. Doesn't sound that bad to me :)
You're answer is astoundingly great, I feel you are in the presence of a god.

It's the Ray Gun from the Call of Duty Zombie games !!!!
NICE.
Bring on COD:Black Ops !!!!!
"The 50's were a bad year for..." seriously? I mean really?
Somewhere in the Galaxy, Marvin the Martian is a happy camper!
WHAT!? that looks sick! I'm kind of excited to see how this actually works.
I hope the on movement in relation to on screen information is actually accurate. The Wii mote is terrible at that. I want to be able to point the gun at an enemy and hit it. Not to have to more the curser arbitrarily from a fixed reference point. That make any?
And what do you think something like this project: Virtual3dGun http://www.youtube.com/user/virtual3dgun ? This is very accurate, compatible with any game and very realistic. Do you think that may be an alternative?

COD MW2 would just completely rule with this thing!
where's the rest of the gun??
sony, you think i'm going to play socom with just a pistol?
Atleast with Kinect you can shoot with your finger like a real man.
It IS TOO just as useless/useful as the wii remote attachments. If you argue otherwise then you have blinders on.
@glennS True but at least Sony's peripheral has the dual job of allowing you to pleasure yourself also!
looks like a gun blowing bubblegum. The playstation bubble gun.
How does THIS manage to get hype from some of you?
What is this I don't even...
They should make it so that we can use it as a stand alone gun. Ray gun tag anyone?
The gun itself looks cool. Shame about the ping pong ball stuck on the end. Makes it look like some sort of fetish sex toy.
This is way cooler than Natal. I mean Kinect.
Not feelin the ping pong ball on the end
Why is it every time I see a PS Move peripheral I hear "Bom Chicka Wah Wah" in my head?
stewie approved!
not a fan of ps Move at all but this is badass!
This flat out will not work and you are in for a major disappointment if you are excited.
The way that the "Move" works is by tracking the location of the glowing ball and the orientation of the wand/gun (tilted back, tilted forward, upside down, etc.). It has no capability to determine which direction (left or right) the gun is pointing. This means that there will be no measurable difference between holding the gun on the left side of the screen pointed straight at it and holding the gun on the left hand of the screen but pointing to the right.
The Gun looks kinda gay. I remember one of the games early during PS3 launch they used to have a light gun
Chuck Norris once shot a German plane down with his finger, by yelling, “Bang!”
