Another reason to want a job at Google: insane napping pods

Sure, the work days might be long, but there are plenty of upsides to working at Google, as far as we can tell -- not the least of which are the technologically advanced MetroNap Energy Pods they've installed for their drones to nap in. Seriously? On site naps? We're there.

I love Google and I think I'd love to work there for a lot of reasons, but it's sad that these pods are necessary there and that people are having to nap at work.

Since time is made and taken for naps anyway, how about work the people less and let them sleep longer at home like they need to?

Naps at work indicates that someone is working or being worked too hard.

The really smart people don't care about benefits like this. Reminds of the .com days when companies were putting out all sorts of gimmicks to attract talent - like paying for BMW leases etc. That kind of stuff attracted B and C class talent.

When you see stuff like this you can understand why Google is struggling to innovate lately. When was the last time Google implemented software that made you go, wow!?

Even in the case of Android the main reason people buy Android is because it is open and similar to the iPhone OS. Not because it is better.
