i guess this guy probably took a week off work or runs his own business where he can do this kind of thing. i always wondered where people found the time to sit around a week or a few days in advance for a gadget that will be sold in every store.

Why would he need a preorder? If he's waiting in line, isn't he waiting to walk in and buy one and not pick up a preorder?
He is a smart kid, he has gotten the media's attention, alot of the media stopped by to interview him, he was on the news, he is getting all of our attention here commenting on him plus on other blogs as well,
The workers at the apple store loves him, he stays inside the apple store all day where it is cool. Gotta give it to this kid, he's definitely getting his 15 mins of fame.
So this may be a dumb question but I'll ask anyway.
When I get my iphone 4 in the mail next Thursday (not at Apple, ATT, best Buy, etc) how do I switch from my old 3G? Do I just activate the new 4 and the 3G phone service stops? Do I need to swap sim cards?

Yeah this Apple debacle is killing me. I spent all morning on June 15 trying to order my phone online with a certified Apple iTunes reward credit card. We all know what happened there. Spent 2 days trying to get Apple to support my purchase even though I had to run to an AT&T store to get my purchase. Now direct word from customer relations... "I'm sorry sir there's nothing I can do for you." Way to got Apple. Screw me once shame on me..screw me twice...Hello Droid!
