@hammydbest I love dissing people who use things that I personally don't have a use for, don't you? God, it makes me feel so much more like a man & has me forgetting all about my tiny penis.
@hammydbest I bought an iPad. I am a huge Apple fan, and I have been thoroughly disappointed. The problem with the iPad is it does a little bit of everything, but it does nothing really well. Nobody realizes until they get it home that Flash is a heck of a lot more important than a few advertisements. Everyone I know has been disappointed with theirs or mystified as to why it "cannot really do the web." In addition, with a Mac and an iPhone, I have power and performance when computing and I have ultimate in portability when away from home with the iPhone. The thing is, the iPhone does everything better because it fits in my pocket.
Mac + iPhone = Winning combination. iPad = a big joke!
@scottsdale I agree, I think Apple screwed up (in a way) they should have made the IPad a few years ago instead of the IPhone. Now in 2010 they should have released the IPhone that would have been "magical/revolutionary".. Although I can't say they screwed up when I hear about their profits..
@scottsdale I feel that if you already had an iPhone and a Mac, you didn't really need to buy an iPad in all practicality. Not trying to been mean. Can I ask why you bought an iPad?
@hammydbest The "iPad" is actually an Apple inside joke. iPad stands for "iPad.....Apple's bank account by buying their worthless crap". I believe they scrapped "iFad" because they were pretty sure most people would see through the fact that they are ripping them off with that name.
Anyone who's broken their iPhone's screen and knows how much Apple screws you in repair costs, knows the iPad is probably 10x easier to bust and thus Apple gets to suck your wallet dry even more.
@HighestRanked2 Please learn comprehension. Then you might understand that scottsdale is not surprised that it doesn't play Flash. In fact his surprise is quite clearly directed at the fact that there is a lot more to Flash on the Internet than just ads.
Many other mobile OS's at least support Flash lite; something Apple isn't even willing to support. If you haven't been reading the news you would also realize that other mobile OS's are indeed getting full Flash support.
You like many other Apple devotees keep on screaming that Flash is only for ads when that simply is not true. Please stop.
I'm sure there are plenty of reasons for Flash not being on any iOS device. That won't stop people going "WTF?" when they can't experience the "real web" like they've been led to believe.
I just can't understand why Apple devotees can not accept the notion that there are a significant number of people that want the *option* to run Flash on their iOS devices.
Apple's iPad is a resounding success because it's the best in existence and most successful in a new market with no direct competitors and consists of pretty much only Apple.
@scottsdale I agree, I own the iPad 64 and get very little use out of it. It won't stay connected to my WiFi network so using it as a web browser in my bed is a chore. Despite repeated tries, I really don't like it as an eReader and prefer using my smaller, lighter Kindle. I also think the battery life kind of sucks. I'm not getting 10 hours on it, it's always dead when I want to use it at night - unless I keep it charged all day. My iPhone + Kindle is a better travel combo. Than just an iPad.
I really hope they come up with a fix for the WiFi in a few weeks, otherwise, I'm just going to sell it on Craigslist.
@scottsdale I have a used an ipad, not an owner of one, but I do own a 3gs and you are right it is very portable and useable to a great degree. However when I use an ipad to do anything that need my input on a keyboard o am sold. Just the added size makes this a huge win. Also flash is a bloated overused standard that has had it's day and is now on it's way out. If you wish to keep perpetuating it go ahead but with apples rise in the personal computing industry it is the truth.
Flash may be "on it's way out", and there may be other better technologies forthcoming, but it's certainly not gone yet, no matter how many times Steve Jobs spins around and chants, "Flash is dead, Flash is dead, Flash is dead...."
Dude, flash is neither dead nor dying. It is an industry standard and is not on its way out. It simply has to innovate to keep up with HTML5. I'm sure web developers like options. Apple and Jobs dictate Apple, not the internet. Nothing just goes away because Jobs says so. Apple fans can adapt the rest of us don't want to and don't need to.
Personally, I don't miss Flash on the iPad at all. It rarely makes its absence known in my browsing. If your main application is Facebook, then your story might be different.
Also, having had to deal with Flash development, I'm perfectly OK with it not being around. It can be a real CPU and battery drain, and it really isn't "cross-platform" at all, as feature parity is poorly maintained. 64 bit Linux users were recently left out in the cold as Adobe decided it wasn't going to support it anymore.
If Adobe gets its act together by actively supporting multiple platforms with efficiency, then I expect Apple will welcome it.

Looks more useful than a real ipad if you ask me

@hammydbest looks more useful than your comment if you ask me.

@scottsdale well said
@Bskballa92 Naw if they jailbreak it voids the warranty and if they get a laptop and don't need a mouse anymore, they're stuck with a mousepad..
@scottsdale I feel that if you already had an iPhone and a Mac, you didn't really need to buy an iPad in all practicality. Not trying to been mean. Can I ask why you bought an iPad?
@Firehazel
In that case why would anyone need an ipad.
@Firehazel
Nobody needs an iPad, it's all about want. Need is irrelevant.

@peestandingup did you by any chance buy one and are now bitter about its uselessness?

@hammydbest I agree
@hammydbest Then your'e a fucking moron.
@zross312 lovely... i would rather have the ipad... cos i could sell it on for more and buy myself a lovely evo... not an iproduct....
@boc Stop being sensible, you'll only irritate them!

@Edobe Well I am working right now and browsing on my Jesus phone.
@Edobe
You are so right! I scrolled right past this crap when I first saw it, but now I'm bored...
@anotherworld This is alternative boredom...
Grey circle of doom!!!
Does the time at the top actually change? That would be kinda nifty.
What? No boob cushions? Lame! I'm buying an Evo 4G!
You could use a real iPad for this. Good use of $600 if you ask me.
All well and good until the mouse pad updates it's usage agreement.
Then the screen turns into a giant blue lego should you attempt to use anything but a magic(al) mouse.
I know what you mean
LoL !
I see what you did there.
