iPhone 4 pre-orders now shipping

We're still trying to puzzle out the mystery of why some iPhone 4 pre-orders have been randomly canceled, but there's good news for the rest of the 600,000 people who managed to get past Apple's ordering issues last week: the newest iPhone is now shipping. We haven't gotten our ship notification email yet, but judging from our tip jar plenty of other people have -- we'll see if anyone's lucky enough to score an early delivery.

My friend got his tracking number today for his phone but his bank account was never charged for it??? Well it was but then it disappeared a couple days ago. Does anyone know if he will be charged at all??

I am having the same issue. I talked to a couple of AT&T representatives and they all have different stories. One said that the price of the iphone will be added to the next bill (highly unlikely but possible.) The other said that the phone has not shipped yet but they assigned me a number because everything else was ok and they will charge the card as soon as the phone actually leaves their ware house.

@jventu The phone has shipped. It actually is in Alaska right now. That's what the tracking numbers telling us. I guess we will just wait and see.

Mine has not left the facility yet. All it says is that the shipping information was sent to FedEx. No charge to my card yet.

I ordered one from ATT and Apple neither one has sent out a shipment notification is there cause for concern since they both still have thursday as the delivery date

Question for the forum: When will I be able to walk in to an apple store or an ATT store, without any major lines, and just purchase the new iPhone (I ask this question in sincerity, because I'm willing to wait for a no hassle situation to upgrade, but I would still like to purchase it as soon as possible)?

@mic2420 Just a guess, but probably mid-July or later as pre-order stock isn't even shipping until then.
