To say our tip box has been inundated with reports of
iOS 4 issues today would be something of an understatement. So far, those on staff seem to be running cool (with the exception of some slow down on our gold build downloads), but obviously you're a larger sample size with so far widely disparate reports. So tell us, is iOS 4 causing you grief? If so, how? (Note: if you're having multiple problems, pick what you'd consider most troublesome.)

I really like iOS4, but I've encountered some bugs.
1 last night- I was going into the clock to adjust the alarm and the software started having a seizure. It was only briefly but for a 5-10 seconds it was doing that and also adding the green bar at the top that you get when you have a call minimized.
2- The other bug was today- it showed the battery was at 31% after just a few hours of pretty light use. I put it on the charger and not that long later it was up to 84%.
3- I've also had a few instances of it failing to wake up on the first few tries. That had happened before but it was rare.
4- This isn't a new issue but I was hoping the new software would fix it- I still can't connect to my own WiFi network...ever

On my 3gs the iPod app crashes/fails to launch when purchased songs are being downloaded and added. I'm going to try a restart... SUCKS!!!
When taking a photo in a room with a dimming light switch I get a false ghosting effect of the light fixture 5 feet to the left of the fixture (I only wish I was kidding). Also noticed all previous photos had location tagging that I was unaware of; don't know if that was in previous EULA. Only other issue is my Papaya farm app no longer works. Everything else is smooth and my phone seems to function more quickly.
I lost all my messages and contacts. My phone crashes regularly. It takes upwards of 45 minutes to boot. Buttons don't like to be pressed - sometimes I press them, nothing happens. The phone is apparently unable to switch to 24-hour time. Instead of saying 6:23pm, in 24 hour time it says 6:23 (REAL handy!). I can't seem to connect to any wifi networks any more. All this comes about 72 hours before I fly out overseas for 6 weeks, now I have a semi-working phone. GREAT!, thanks Apple!. Maybe I will find a cheap Android phone while overseas! **ANGRY!**

Upgraded my touch. Safari has sever bugs. Keyboard won't sports sometimes. Won't go away others. Some sites just freeze.
Wifi seems overly persistent to the point of draining the battery.
Various weird stutters while switching apps.
Appears quicker in general, but very slow in some functions. Switching tabs in Safari can be slow and irregular.
I HATE IT IT'S SO SLOW IT NEVER WORKS I CAN NEVER DO A SINGLE THING I WISH I HAD 3.0 AGAIN!!!!!!
My JVC Deck says reading then plays 1 second , then stops. i need this to be fixed!!!!!! how can i drive with no music!?!? also my MMS is GONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have realy bad USB issues, when I plug in my 2g iPod it takes forever to even detect it's plugged in and start charging but it works fine with my wall adapter and my ubuntu laptop.
I also have slowdown and random crashes
A new problem - a call won't end - it just continues after pressing end call! Have to press end call a number of times from the upgraded 3GS iPhone to drop the call.
I have a JVC deck with usb port in front , I got it to work.
unplugged it. hard reset. home + power. started playing a song. plugged the usb cable back into my iphone and then plugged it into the cd deck. didnt work 1st 2 times i did this but third time it started working . weird!
After updating to IOS4 my iPhone 3G now constantly tells me that "This accessory is not optimized for this iPhone" OK now what's funny about this is that, Ive never connected my phone to an accessory! this message pops up every time i unlock my phone, and once i do, unlock sounds disappear, i cannot listen to any music, videos, etc.. Anyone else having this problem? Engadget, do you have any idea?
Omg ios4 made my touchscreen malfunction all the time ,slows down everything no thanks to spellcheck
Lots of issues upgrading to iOS4 on my iPhone 3G. Everything was working very well on the phone until the upgrade.
1) GPS no longer working. Unable to get an accurate location fix in any location-aware application (e.g., Maps). I tried MotionX and the phone simply cannot find a satellite.
2) WiFi is unreliable. Unless I'm right next to the wifi antenna I am unable to connect. The phone is unable to see wifi networks it used to be able to see.
3) Bluetooth is unreliable (e.g., headset now seems to have very poor reception and range is significantly diminished).
All of these problems started happening immediately after the iOS 4 update. Downgrading to 3.1.3 nor factory restoring to 4.0.1 has appeared to help.
These issues do seem related, as I was able to get all three to work for a brief moment after switching my wifi router to a different channel and for a moment GPS, wifi, and bluetooth were restored. But it didn't last long.
My Contacts app crashes anytime I try to launch it. Also, about 50% of the contacts cause a crash when I try to look at them. We talked to Apple tech support and have been told there is no fix other than restoring the phone to factory, upgrading to OS4, and then restoring all content from backup. Fun...
There's currently a huge number of 3Gs users who are now experiencing iPhone crashes during calls lasting longer then 4-5 minutes - all since upgrading to iOS4.

Let's get the profile of this problem raised. Why are Apple ignoring so many customers? What kind of a company, no matter how successful, ignores customer complaints?
Besides slowing my ipod touch 2nd gen address book to the point of unusability, the upgrade wiped out my calendar which apparently wasnt backing up properly to my MacBook. I think I've lost 2 years of business records. Want to back out the update & may go back to an old palm pilot for my pocket schedule. Posted 2 weeks ago on Mac Forum and noone has replied to my pleading for help. Apple, where art thou? I trusted you!! :-(
