New iPhone 3GS 8GB features redesigned box with iOS 4

Couldn't very well have an iPhone for sale showing an outdated version of the operating system, now, could you? Just wouldn't be civilized.

@JonnyB If you see, Gizmodo puts up MEANINGFUL Apple posts. like iphone 4 unboxing, iphone 4 video test, etc. and here on engadget, I see posts about iPhone 3GS box redesign! This kind of posts can only be posted by apple fans. and im sayin that instead of wasting time on things like this, they should post actual useful info on the iPhone

@JonnyB How is this news Engadget? First of all all the *new* 3gs phones are new production since the old models were 16 and 32gb ones. And 2nd did you really think that changing a picture on a box is that hard? Sure do cover everything Apple related but a box redesign is hardly newsworthy!

give engadget a break. I hate Apple, but I love engadget. No matter how little this news is, it is still a news. They're just doing their job. No one complained when Engadget described the evo packaging right?

At least they didn't put "breaking" in there, if that's the case they're completely bonkers.

How many Apple stories do you already have, do we really need to discuss the redesign for a BOX?! Would you do the same for a Nintendo DS, or a Vizio television? Why would you, then, do it for an iPhone?

@Hexydes Hmm, I guess it's a good thing (or bad?) the hubs (and searches) don't have a number of posts relating to the topic, or Engadget wouldn't really be able to deny it. Anyone feel like counting, I got tired are 847...

Or if you're less lazy than me but too lazy to count them all you could just search for iphone, count the number on the first page and multiple it by the number of pages... Then compare it to android!
