@Joao No, I'm sure it'll be elastic pocket expanders. It'll also come with a potato to put in your pants--just make sure to put the potato in the front of your pants, not the rear.
@MrT Nah, to me 4G ability still trumps raw performance. The Droid X should be light years faster than the 4G, but I'd rather have faster network speeds.
Besides the $20/month tethering hotspot deal is very disappointing...
@jayv1717 First, the screen supports millions of colors, instead of 16-bit color (yikes)...second, it's probably got better build quality since it's not made by htc (hey..just stating facts :P), third, it won't have a 30fps graphics limit :)
@MrT I'm not even sure this phone beats the Evo...I mean its similar but still lacks some of the features the Evo has plus its bigger (not screen, size) Also, will cost more money on Verizon.
@DoctarPeppar the colors are just fine even at 16m..the build quality is perfect except for the ones that got stuck with those stupid screen issues..but mines is as sturdy as it can get..and the 30 fps is fixed..so it seems like your just nit picking
@DoctarPeppar i could easily talk about the lack of front facing camera the 2gb data limit(yikes)..the 3g speeds the plans cost more money the lack of a kickstand(with screens this big its very handy)..sense vs motoblur(yikes)..but if i mention all that i would just be nit picking too..honestly i welcome all android devices im sure it'll be another great addition iphone's dominance is all but over..android ftfw!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@jayv1717 1.) The data caps only apply to tethering. The device itself has _unlimited_ data. 2.) With the Evo4g, you have to pay 10$ extra a month even if you don't have 4g in your area...That is INSANE 3.) I would have preferred a front facing camera, but it's not a deal breaker (for me anyways). 4.) Both Sense and Motoblur are really unncessary...Android has matured to the point where no 3rd party GUI is necessary. As long as you can turn them off, it's fine. But I think they are both equally crappy :)
@DoctarPeppar: last time I heard 'later this summer', was waaay back at a WWDC event........... course, what's saying Moto is going to make the same mistake...?
Still is attractive but I dunno, iPhone 4, Evo, and hot HTC design,... eh, hard decision.
@andysexton Might be cheaper for you, but NOT for me and my family...Since we also use Verizon FiOS for TV and Internet, they are all bundled together and the discounts are insane. Sucks for you :)
@MrT This is definitely a sexy, sexy phone. But, I don't think it makes the EVO outdated at all. The EVO still has certain features that the Droid X lacks and the EVO is also cheaper on Sprint (you get more for your buck).
If anything, I think these two phones could be seen as siblings.These two badass devices can definitely exist in harmony. Just think of the EVO as the handsome, older brother who's more laid back and chill with smarts, while the Droid X is the buff jock, brother who likes to play beer pong with the guys and is really popular.

Why is narayen there? Will this ship with full flash support? Or will we have to wait until Froyo?
@DoctarPeppar I believe it will come with froyo
@AlienSix
Nope, it's launching with 2.1. Froyo update will come later in the summer.
@DoctarPeppar I'm more interested to see how much ram this puppy has...
Will they be selling pants with larger pockets as an accessory?
@Rick James
I'm sure it's 512...
Wait, does this Phone mean the EVO 4G is already outdated?

@AlienSix
Froyo it's not ready yet tha's why it's not launching with it.
@MrT in which way does this make the evo outdated..cuz i dont see it

Nit picking owns!
Without nitpicking there would be no progress.

@MrT You said it!
@Joao
Only kids pants might have pockets where this phone will not fit. Regular pockets will fit even much bigger phones (like 6")
@TriOminos
WTF! why is the droid x at a disadvantage because its slimmer!?
@jayv1717

May the best phone win.
@DoctarPeppar Even with the $10 extra, the overall plan is still cheaper. Not to mention the free to any other mobile phone minutes.
@MrT No, not really, they're both similar devices. Imagine two laptops with similar (although not completely identical) specs.
@andysexton
Might be cheaper for you, but NOT for me and my family...Since we also use Verizon FiOS for TV and Internet, they are all bundled together and the discounts are insane. Sucks for you :)
