You're not going to believe this, but someone actually bothered to turn up to the iPhone 4 launch with a bit of competitive spirit. Tesco Mobile, an MVNA riding atop O2's network, has busted out its idea of what represents good value for iPhone lovers' money, and it has put everyone else to shame. 1GB of data and unlimited texts come as standard (seems like O2's network can handle the load after all). Two 12-month options are available, at £20 ($29) per month for 250 minutes and £35 ($52) per month for 750 minutes, accompanied by the big spender platter of unlimited minutes and an almost free 16GB iPhone 4 for those willing to spend £45 ($66) over two years. It's all great news for Brits, and you can see exactly how it compares to the big networks in our comprehensive, chart-intensive breakdown
right here.

@dansus Thanks for the link, still not official on Tesco Mobile's website and no mention of tethering allowed or otherwise. Wish 3 got on with theirs really.

@edwilde so I guess at 9am tomorrow they'll have the iPhone 4 on there? (not in store?)
Still you cant actually buy one - the buy your iphone now button takes you to the pay monthly deals where the iphone 4 is nowhere to be seen. :) This is just getting stupid, with three teasing us for the last two weeks, tesco not letting us buy it and the three other carriers not actually competing.
Anyone know if you're going to be able to sign up to Tesco in the Apple Store tomorrow?
Definitely the best so far!
£35 a month for 12 months gets you 750 Mins + Unlimited texts + 1GB = Bargain!
I'd walk into a Tesco store tomorrow morning and buy one on the spot.. Anybody know if they're selling this at Tesco Metros by any chance? There arent any big ass Tescos in London city centre :(
@Shash450 I think only tesco extra's - check http://www.tesco.com/storelocator/ with Phone shop selected
Are the Tesco iPhones unlocked or do we have to pay an extra £30 to unlock it? Bringing the 32GB iPhone 4 model to £600 anyways - the same as Apple instore unlocked prices.
@Sax25 Sure there locked then after 12months you can unlock it at a charge
Soo whats the deal with unlimited texts? is there a fair useage policy with tesco does anyone know?
LMAO! - I see MS/Verizon have paid for a KIN advert on this page - at least it showed up for me top right.
How ironic - you think MS have got into double figures yet with Kin sales???
'kin useless....
they're showing up on the site now!
Anyone else having issues getting through to them to order?
Yes. After waiting some time in the Tesco mobile telephone sales queue the guy told me 'sorry, we've had a major systems error, we have plenty of stock but would advise calling back in 24 hours!'. Hmmm... :-(
Turned up to Tesco this morning at 0850 no one there, waited 10 minutes for the guy to show up to open the store he checked his orders he had 3 delivered the night before and was getting 3 from another store, by that stage 5 other people had arrived everyone got a phone. A few late comers (0930) where told none left. They also said they where expecting more tomorrow. By far the best deal out there!
Have been trying thre iPhone sales line all morning and it's engaged.. Come on Tesco, every little helps and all that...
