I wonder if HTC will hit Samsung with a lawsuit over AMOLED because I'm pretty positive that HTC will lose significant sales to the Motorola Droid X due to the unavailability of the Droid Incredible. Heck, I'm skipping the Incredible and looking forward to getting a Droid X.
@Center I don't know if it will get that far -- but I have heard tons of stories of Vzw being out of stock for the incredibles and a lot of people who wanted one but couldnt get one...this is probably (at least one of) the reason why...thats uber lame...fuck samsung....and now because of the Droid X and soon to be Droid 2 coming out, I'm sure the incredible's sales will suffer. Even though some people may not want a 4.3" phone and will still prefer the incredible...there will definitely be more customers or potential customers who want the Droid X instead.
@DoctarPeppar I think you can almost hang up the Incredible. It was a huge missed opportunity. Verizon said they could have easily sold twice what they were selling. I think they might have even held back the Droid X and Droid 2. But without being able to keep the thing in stock I wouldn't be surprised if they told HTC to either start using LCD or they'll be working with Motorola more often. And I bet Samsung is throttling these displays to save buyers for the Galaxy S.
@Blaque14K Unfortunately, that sounds so true. In talking to co-workers and others, they are totally surprised that VZ would launch two Android flagships so close to each other. The incredible is a great phone, and it is really sad that it may not the the recognition it deserves; everyone is marveling over how big this phones are getting, yet i can't help but marvel at just how compact this one is without sacrificing an ounce of power...
