In the plan comparisons I LOVE how they pin one of Sprints cheapest plans against one of AT&T & Verizon's most expensive.
Lets compare PROPERLY
- Most Expensive Consumer Level Plans-
Sprint: Unlimited Talk / Unlimited Text / Unlimited Data - $99.99 Premium Data - $10
TOTAL - $109.99 p/m
AT&T: Unlimited Talk - $69.99 Unlimited Text - $20 2GB Data - $25
TOTAL - $114.99
Verizon: Unlimited Talk / Unlimited Text - $89.99 Unlimited Data - $29.99
TOTAL - $119.98
T-Mobile (w/ contract & without): Unlimited Talk / Unlimited Text / Unlimited Data - $99.99 / $79.99
TOTAL - $99.99 / $79.99
As you can see T-Mobile is busting *ss with it's plans (but no highly desired phones) ... Sprint has the "edge" on it's biggest competition by at MOST $10 but NOT as big of a gap as it was trying to portray in it's chart. It's all a matter of preference & folk must also consider which provider has better coverage in their area. It would suck *ss to have a buy device but get little to no coverage where you live.
Awww well. If telling the truth is overshadowed by undesired networking I apologize. I'll bite that bullet, just hope folk choose to "view comment" & read a lil truth. Later.
Great comparison and the Galaxy S will be released on T-mobile as the "Vibrant" I believe so now they have two desirable phones the HD2 which everyone has forgotten about now thanks to the EVO (but of the 2 the EVO is the younger looking hotter sister to the HD2).
@Tuan X With my T-Mobile and being included in a HSPA+, Compared to sprints 450 min plan, I pay $49.99 a month, $55 after tax, For 500 anytime Min, Including N&W, M2M, And Have Unlimied txt/mms and Unlimited data with free tethering on a smartphone.
@andthen You fail to mention that sprints 69$ plan includes unlimited calling to every single mobile phone in america. Which makes it alot worth while than tmobile.
@DefPoet but not EVERY phone (no landlines). The plans I compared were equivalent in their offerings & were all the major companies most full featured plans.
@Eroded Fallacy and not to mention sprints way more reliable 3G network then tmobiles. The ability to get a new phne every 12 months nt 24 like tmobile. Egibility to join sprint premier n get free perks. N I do believe the list keeps on gng but who here really likes to read hella long comments? Right.
Ok look at the damn chart again. It isnt bullshit. I would easily say that of the 63 numbers in my phone only 1 is a lan line. Yes I have a friend who doesnt have a cellphone. so my sprint 450 plan with UNLIMITED mobile to mobile damn near makes my plan equivalent to other full unlimited plans. Seriously most ppl call mobile to mobile!
MY POINT IS... If you are going to compare features then compare features, if you're going to compare value then compare value. MY CHART was based on the cost of equivalent features from the big 4. What I feel Sprint SHOULD'VE done was compare what you'd get for an equivalent price from ALL carriers. In the end Sprint would've been #2 against T-Mobile's offerings of the same value w/ no contract.
Sprint: $79.99 Unlimited Mobile Talk 450 Landline Minutes Unlimited Data Unlimited Text
AT&T: $79.99 5000 Nights & Weekends Minutes 450 Anytime Minutes 2GB of Data Unlimited Text
Verizon: $79.98 Unlimited Nights & Weekends 450 Anytime Minutes Unlimited Data 500 Text Messages (Unlimited M2M)
T-Mobile: $79.99 (No Contract / With Contract) Unlimited Nights & Weekends / Unlimited N&W Unlimited Anytime Minutes / 500 Anytime Minutes Unlimited Data / Unlimited Data Unlimited Text / Unlimited Text
I personally am TIRED of all these BS plans. I want one Major Company to hold its scrotom & deliver us somethimg that MAKES sense. Give us Unlimited Calling for $30 and simply charge us for data as you will in inriments..
Example $30 - Unlimited Voice $70 - Unlimited Data (Includes Text & Tethering) OR $30 - Unlimited Voice $50 - 2GB Data (Includes Text & Tethering) OR $30 - Unlimited Voice $30 - 250MB Data (Includes Text)
TO ME, these are smartphone data plans that make SENSE & that I'd be more than willing to pay for. Get with it companies.
I understand what you are trying to do with your "chart" but, its almost impossible to do, unfortunately. For example, I can see flaws in your chart at one quick glance. The Sprint plan you describe also gives you access to Sprint TV, BIS, Night and Weekends that start at 7pm instead of nine, GPS Navigation... and more. The $70/$80 dollar Sprint plan offers alot of bang for the buck when you look at the big picture.
Say what u want but people that buy the galaxy s from tmo will likely but it on contact..... their no contract offering is only an advertising trick... very few people can afford to buy a smartphone at retail to qualify for that monthly pricing..... not to mention that Sprint offers you better coverage and way more value with AnyMobile AnyTime and included features like TV and Navigation.... not to mention yearly upgrades with Sprint Premier......
@Tuan X You do realize you're arguing that a piece of Sprint's promotional campaign is a little biased towards Sprint, right?
Just checking to make sure. Also, would you care to look into Tide's claims that Tide gets clothes cleaner than the competing brands? Thanks that would be a huge help.
"I'm looking to grab a new phone using a prepaid service. What's the best prepaid phone service in terms of overall price, phone selection and other bells / whistles. Thanks!"

Evo ftw
@victorvelasco1
LMAO
@victorvelasco1 That data is inaccurate. iPhone 4 doesn't have 1Ghz processor or 1200mAh battery. Evo ftw!

@mariachi7026 You make it seem like I'm bashing Sprint, I'm not, I like them, I just wanted a better chart. The chart to me is publicity BS.
