@Wiizer Yah I was anticipating WP7 on this device too but since HTC said that it will not be getting WP7 on the HD2 I lost interest in it.
You will have to wait for the community to get things working and I love the community support and everything they do but I much prefer native support.
I'll wait for the Samsung Vibrant for android on Tmobile.
Other than the beautiful exterior the vibrant blows the HD2 out of the water.
If you're going to be buying the Vibrant, you won't be getting ANY support past Froyo from Samsung. Really, I've been flashing my phones since an old Sony Ericsson and it's the only way to go. "Official" updates can do as much damage to your phone as XDA's. The only exception is the XDA process is much more transparent.
@Wiizer The whole behold 2 thing was because the phone sold so little and would run like crap with the update. Heck the G1 didnt get it so why should the behold?
Samsung has released the galaxy on all networks and the world. I highly doubt they are going to screw around on this phone.
The Galaxy Tab 10.1, much like its Limited Edition sibling that we reviewed last month, is ever-so-slightly thinner than the iPad 2, a slate that most sane individuals (and competitors, for that matter) would confess is the market leader today.

I could pick one up for about $100 and install android and call it a day.
or I can wait and pick up the Vibrant for $200 and call it a day.
The design and look of the HD2 is beautiful and phone that should have had android from the start.
free with new contract on tmobile at fry's .. very tempting indeed
@obobo That sounds great. I am all the way in NYC so no Fry's for me.
Though that free is very, very tempting indeed.
@PathogenX
I bit the bullet and got one! Only for the fact that once WP7 is released it'll be a much easier port to the HD2 than Android AND that means:
Dual boot!

I'll take XDA over "official" support any day.
First thing I do with a new phone is root it and flash a new ROM.
