8-bit Gary and real Gary compete for our affection
Kiel Johnson and Klai Brown built this 8-bit costume for a Toshiba ad. Made of bits of high density foam glued together, the wearable, pixelated version of Gary looks surprisingly like the actual Gary, though possibly a bit handsomer (in our opinion). Hit up the source for a lot more photos of the process of Gary's construction. Also hit up the coverage link for videos of the Garys in action.

how cute
@Gutsy Gibbons 64-bit still looks nicer tho. or 128
@flett Right, because it would've been cuter and more charming if we could see his polygon count.
@Gutsy Gibbons
i wonder how far you need to be until they become indistinguishable
Why is he holding hands with a lego sculpture? still neat though
@deliteguy It's Gary and his 8-bit soul.
@deliteguy That's not a sculpture...that's the sickest costume ever. The geek in me actually squealed when I saw it...
@deliteguy
Not legos dumbass. Read the shit before posting.
Wow cool story.

@BHFoster Spot the mobile spellchecker.
Depends how extensively you want me to dismember him.

8-bit Gary has better posture but he seems to have warts all over his arms and a very wrinkly shirt.
