HTC files seemingly confirm Mondrian, Mozart to be Windows Phone 7 handsets
We'd already had some indication that both the HTC Mondrian and Mozart would be Windows Phone 7 handsets, and it looks like that has now been all but confirmed by HTC itself. According to some XML files dug up on HTC's own site by Conflipper, both devices list Internet Explorer Mobile 7 for the browser ID, which we can only assume won't be making an appearance outside of Windows Phone 7 anytime soon. The files also confirm that each device will have a 800 x 480 display and a keyboard-less form factor, plus A2DP Bluetooth support, although there's expectedly few details to be found beyond that.

This are some funky names.
I like.
@SolidSnake
Mozart didn't do funk.
@SolidSnake have LeBron use one of these devices tonight, a la Oprah.
Getting excited!
Here is to a Successful Windows Phone 7 Launch *raises glass*
@AlienSix put it down, we haven't even open the champagne yet.
@AlienSix I for one cannot wait. As a Zune HD user, I currently see no other UI paradigm quite as awesome in use. The next best thing would be Android with Sense. Everything about Metro just seems so... perfectly uncomplicated.
1.5 GHZ SCORPION!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@n8equalsd
Don't forget dual core.
@n8equalsd
What the hell would you need a dual core 1,5 Ghz processor on a PHONE for? It's proven to run smoothly on the minimum specs, and all apps will be developed for those specs. Anyone with a faster processor would only achieve things like slightly faster loading of apps..
@Very Powerfull Codfish There will always be something to use a more powerful CPU for on a mobile. Some games will most likely require higher performance, as it already is on a PC.
i'm just waiting...
@HighestRanked2 Chuck Norris dose not wait! He visits the future, comes back and moves on.
@pedmart No the future is just now trying to run away from Chuck Norris
Seems like half the phone news leaks these days are found through xml files.
@dardub what happened to the dell phones? any info on how many apps have being processed, or if they have been able to convince the big developers? gamesoft, adobe, ea, google, popcap, tapulous, evernote, etc
@pedmart Why's google and adobe on that list?
@pedmart Developers! Developers! Devel.... oh, never mind.
@Nn4458 Because a lot of ppl use google services, and they have made apps for apple, from maps to mail, or google voice, or search.. Adobe also has adobe ideas or their Photoshop app...
MS, please release it already!! can't take this anymore...
@HighestRanked2
i rather not have a phone than an iphone...besides, whats the point? it cant even make a phone call!!
@HighestRanked2
How? By slitting our wrists with them?
I owned a couple of htc devices, but they keep roolibg devices and if you buy the smartest htc phone today, tomorrow they will bring a smarter one and the one coming the next day will be smarterer...
Even myself (and i really don't care that much) wonder why do they have all these fancy names and how they come up with new ones??
It would be nice if they will have a line of phones powered by android and be named alphabetically from A to L for example and a line of wm-powered devices also named alphabetically from M to Z
I'm just saying...i don't own HTC, but those awkward names, although funny, makes it sound like HTC is a toy manufacturer
@cradu next product line: Htc Alvo, htc A-1, htc B.A
If Mozart isn't a music phone, I'll be disappointed.
There are really a lot of HTC models out there now. Not that that's a bad thing. Eventually it's going to get really hard to keep track of everything.
wm7 phone should have a choice of 64gb or 128gb hd to compete with the jesus phone. 3d capability, hd video, google gps map.
hahhaaa
@dkhang 128 gb? For what? These are phones you will be upgrading in a yr or two. 64gb max is perfect, hopefully developers make good apps without using so much space
@pedmart
Someone could say the exact thing for your want of 64GB.
@SCB 32gb is probably the perfect size, especially for wp7. it won't have as many apps as other platforms, won't use that much space.. it all depends what happens with developers and games
@HighestRanked2 it can be done. a phone that uses/borrows the technology from the new nintendo 3ds, could bring the first 3d phone.. but i don't think it'll happen.. maybe on the new zune hd
@dkhang
Who needs 128 GB storage? You'll be able to use your Zune Pass with these phones and stream music wherever you go (wherever you have a wireless signal). I think 64 GB would be enough, 32 GB for most people would probably be perfect. I'm really excited about the Zune integration.
@pedmart
I find that reason for not needing a lot of space to be kind of stupid. It isn't like people are installing every app in the marketplace.
@HighestRanked2
Oh if only you knew. There is something in the incubator from one of the major players. Can't say any more.
@dkhang : They don't need Google GPS Maps, with Bing Maps Mobile (which pretty much will work like Google Navigator).
@HighestRanked2 How you aren't banned for trolling I have no idea.
@HighestRanked2 You're a confirmed fail
@HighestRanked2
-1 for you
@HighestRanked2 Awesome comment! I love reading FAIL comments using the FAIL word. Classic!
one of this bitch is going to be mine come nov! can't wait!!
@HighestRanked2 what truth? truth implies a fact, which implies something has happened, which, you know, isn't applicable when something hasn't happened yet. So please go back to your bridge, troll.
@HighestRanked2 Sure. And Mac OS X has been a major failure on the desktop, by that logic.
@Jacob1 True. But Mr. Jobs claim this is by his deliberate choice. To give OSX a more "exclusive touch". Exclusive like the Apple Newton and Apple Pippin.
I'm going to keep my phone till a windows 7 phone comes out
I want the "Telemann"
Windows is far from dead.. I cannot wait to see the power of WP7
