@HAL2000 I think a better analogy would be his ford minivan could play AM, FM, HD, or satellite radio (3rd party developer) over the car's speakers while your Mercedes could only play AM radio (supplied by Apple) over the car's speakers.
@tgates I think a better analogy would be to actually compare the two phones instead of making stupid comparisons between cars. How a droid phone is compared to a panel van, and an iphone a mercedes is beyond me. They are phones. Judge them on their merits instead of resorting to foolish analogies.
As for the iphone, for all the "innovation", it's still only coming out of the dark ages in many areas. Heck, they can't even get the antenna right. Making calls is pretty basic stuff with a phone.
It's over-hyped. It's over rated and it's over represented in the media, especially on sites such as this one.

Baskin Robins makes ice cream, Cold Stone comes out later and says they can do it better. Fruit of the Loom has poor fabric? Hanes makes their underwear better and has MJ advertising for them. This is why we live folks, and this is how we get better products. Appreciate it, instead of justifying why you bought what!
@uberbadgadget I guess Google has a time machine and can go into the future because Android apps have been able to access the mp3s on the device long before iOS4 was even announced. Also, I think Android has been around 3 or more years before iOS4. I wonder when Google Time Machine hits the app store on Android....

I had forgotten about some of the more subtle patheticness of the iphone. Everyone complained about multitasking, i completely forgot about this one.
