T-Mobile roadmap leaks out, plenty of Android in store
For starters, there's no actual way to confirm that the image you're peering at above is legitimate, but given that the listed Charm just went official, there's at least a sliver of believability here. So far as we can tell, this is T-Mobile USA's 2H 2010 handset roadmap, and as you'd expect, it's chock full of Android. Aside from news of impending Dell netbooks and 16 total phones, we're paying particular attention to the upcoming Samsung Vibrant (locked for July 21st), the HTC Vanguard (set for September 9th) and an HTC Schubert (pegged for November 17th). We're guessing that the latter is that 1.5GHz 'Scorpion' that we heard about back in June, and we'll obviously dispose of quite a few tears should that not be the case. In related news, it looks as if the myTouch 3G, Cliq and Cliq XT could be seeing their long-awaited updates to Android 2.1 this August, so there's that. Hit the links below for more, and feel free to let your imagination run wild in comments below. But not too wild.

You all need to post that the Captivate is coming out July 18
Actualy if we're keeping rumor consistant, the HTC Emerald is most likely that high-end G1 replacement aka Project Emerald. The Shubert is most likely WinMo7 and the MRs are software updates (2.2 maybe).
see http://www.tmonews.com/2010/07/is-this-a-real-leaked-t-mobile-roadmap/ for more consistant rumor.
Also note that the Vibrant data on there is wrong now due to reports of it comming out early (http://www.tmonews.com/2010/07/samsung-vibrant-releasing-july-15th-one-week-early/) So take that for what you will.
I wonder which ones with be Windows Phone 7 Devices... and no Dell Lightning on that map even though it will come with T-Mobile bands :-(
Conflipper says "Schubert is a WP7 device."

No iPhone? Thought maybe with that quad chip in iPhone 4 that works on T-Mobile and AT&T's weird upgrade change that it would be coming.
@CoyM
Android > iPhone

@ laser123454321 u do no that that coulda been an old picture right t-mobile coulda produced that before the launch date change of the vibrant and is it just me or is t-mobile really stepping their smart phone game up.
@Atl2000 im betting tmo upped the date once they found out AT&T was going to launch the device on the 18th
Any news on Blackberry OS 6 Phones?
@skyblaze - I am looking forward to a real HSPA+ phone to hit Tmo in 2H. Specifically something with a 4"+ screen, and BT3 (hey, or 4!). Just because I am a hog.
That 1.5 scorpion.. hopefully the GPU is more awesome than the one currently being used in the N1. That Samsung combo smokes.
Well well well..... a cell phone that is more powerful than my laptop is going to come out 3 years after!! Theres exponential for you!
You guys are killing me that anything doing with social networking its only tailored to *teens* so none of us *grown-ups* need to be social? So the real question is will tmo reception get better for these high end phones, and if you're not social please go outside sometimes and meet some real people instead of crying to a blog.
Sent from my very social mt3gs
*and the downranking begins*
@mandroid Its not the social aspect that makes the phones teen like. Its basically the power of the phones and the marketing around them. They don't often get high end phones. Thats one reason I left to go back to Verizon. I tend to use my phone heavily and the Cliq and G1 just couldn't quite keep up with me like my Incredible does.
Do T-Mobile 3G phones work in Canada, or is it At&t only??
I hope the Emerald is Quad-band...
@TareG The iPhone is 5-band and doesn't support the band commonly known as AWS aka 1700/2100MHz pair aka "Band IV". However, an AWS (T-mobile US 3G) phone works also in Canada for: WIND Mobile, Mobilicity, and Videotron. I have not done exhaustive research but from I have picked up, there are no phones that support both T-mobile US and ATT US 3G frequencies... at least not any phone you'd actually want someone to see you with.
Read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UMTS_frequency_bands if you want to know all of what bands support what areas.
So basically... No Dell Streak on T-Mo
Im gonna go ahead and say it... the Garminfone is the coolest android device T-MO carries.
WMPowerUser noticed that the rumored HTC Schubert is listed (in the pic).
I will have to hold off on my upgrade (september 15th 2010) until I find out if the emerald (or whichever is the super Android coming out) can be rooted.
I HOPE the marketing campaign is something of legend though...something in line with Verizon and Apples campaigns. I don't want anyone thinking my whatever is a Droid.
Apparently the Schubert is T-Mobile's first WP7 device. And hopefully the Emerald is the rumored HTC Sidekick revival running Android.
So that July myTouch3G Slide ... is that Froyo? Or is this slide old?
No Dell Lightning?!?!
Nooooooo....
@turbosixnet I agree but i still think its a shame t-mobile is so far behind in the smartphone game and now they wanna start to catch up smh but then again better late then never.
Yay T-mobile. They seem pretty hardcore on the technology front but have lagged behind on the mobile handset one. This will change that. I only hope for a small device like the myTouch 3G with a fast processor, ample flash rom and ram, slightly larger size screen than the myTouch but smaller than the iPhone and no keyboard. No keyboard please! I like the options the myTouch 3G and the myTouch 3G Slide gave, so don't you go backtracking, T-mobile. September, here I come - the piggy banks will be broken.
I'm not sure, but it looks like a Blackberry's planned for September. Hopefully it's the 9800!
So T-Mobile is pretty much pioneering another Mobile Platform with the HTC Schubert and Windows Phone 7. Lets just hope they don't get left behind with the wackest phones later on like they did with Android.
On the other hand, i hope the HTC Emerald lives up to its hype, if it does it'll be the best Android phone for T-Mobile since the G1 (I don't count the N1)
I am just going to wait for my cliq to die a slow death waiting for 2.1. I am sure I will wind up buying another phone before Moto ever moves it out of testing.
The Rim release is the Blackberry Pearl 3G!
