Keepin' it real fake: Likea Leica, only not
Of all the KIRFs in all the world, this might be one of the laziest. Sure, aesthetically it does a fine job of aping the Leica rangefinder it takes as its "inspiration," but the Likea camera goes downhill very quickly when you move in a little closer. The first thing you'll notice is that, instead of the finely engineered Leica body, this thing is made out of, well, cardboard. Then you find out that the pinhole element isn't provided in the box and you're faced with the impossible judgment of deciding whether the need for a pinhole element or its omission is the worse offense. Ah well, what do you expect for 20 bucks? Just go buy some film and let your imagination fill the (vast) gap between the Likea and the real stuff.

Yuck..
@Slice105
I feel like I need a shower.
@SomEngangVar
Lel
fucking chinese have no shame. I think KIRF is china's #1 export now.
@Mister Warmth

Hawt..

Lik (ea)r ?
This is begging to get forgotten outside and rained on, not to be discovered until it puffs up to twice the size of an SLR.
@Dafrety: In order to forget it, you'd need to buy it in the first place.
In for three!!!
But it's not really a fake, is it? I mean, nobody could accidentally buy this, thinking they were getting a Leica rangefinder. I think it's quite a cute present for a young person just getting into photography.
@Marmite Turkey Its more like an insult than a present. 20 bucks for a piece of cardboard literally without the essentials.
"Everything you need is in the box bar film, a little glue or tape and the pinhole element. Honor tradition by cutting your own from a pop can."
You know what it costs to make this yourself without the fake look?

@Bahumbug not much more than making it yourself WITH the fake look.
@Bahumbug
Its a pinhole cam for fun asswipe.
this is not a kirf.
Ok
I wouldn't classify this as a KIRF, but rather a clever marketing idea.
The site is written a bit tongue-in-cheek and rather amusingly, so I don't think they think for a minute they're fooling anyone.
Many amateur and professional photographers as well like to experiment with pinhole cameras, and I can imagine some of them being amused at owning one of these.
Aw fluck, can copy venerable German camera. Make lots money. Me happy.
Bastards.
the web site even mimics the Leica site to an extent. Volume pricing gets a 50% discount. Someone (maybe Andreas Kauffman) should buy the enitre production run and sell them for $12. Hell he could put the genuine red dot on them and sell them for $50
My uncle loves leicas! he even has "Leica" for his license plate. I'm going to have to give him one of these for christmas.
Oh my god... I just read the faqs... I hope you took the time too because it was GREAT!
"After each shot, advance the newly exposed film into the 'old' canister using the included precision film advance device (paper clip). When the roll is fully exposed, use the same device to rewind the exposed film back into its 'home' canister before opening the camera."
Odd that they changed the name on the top of the camera - and even printed out "Like-a-camera Made in Melbourne" on the back - but neglected to alter the name on the lens… lawsuit?
I would put it on a shelf next to my Folex watch from Mexico
Less than two years ago I purchased an M8 with three prime lenses and that set be back 20+k! It seemed like a good idea at the time but whatever...
its a pinhole for fun, not a kirf. Man you all love to kirf anything that dont come from cuperf@gio.
