Lenovo's multitouch IdeaCentre B305 all-in-one now shipping
Looking for something a bit more basic (and less expensive) than Lenovo's A300 series of all-in-one PCs? Then you might want to consider the company's IdeaCentre B305, which is now finally shipping after making its debut back in May. It'll set you back just $699, which will get you a 21.5-inch, 1920 x 1080 multitouch display, a 2.7GHz AMD Athlon II X2 235e AM3 processor, 2GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive, and a DVD burner, among other standard fare -- higher-end configurations are also available, of course, and top out at $949.

@angelusp
You are useless.
In other news, Apple CEO named technology's smartest person by Fortune magazine...
@pple is poo
I resent that! I am a cultist and I can't even get an iPhone 4!
@pple is poo
Yeah, kinda ironic that Google's Android follows the same cult.
@angelusp Can you imagine the fingerprints all over the screen after just a few hours of working on this?
@crak your mom is useless.
Hopefully its not as slow as the HP Touchsmart system.
No matter how hard they try, they just can't beat Apple, every aspect of Apple's products are amazing and unique.
@iJamesPine
Yeah, because introducing cut + paste, the concept of folders and most recently video recording was so unique.
@axe50 They may have been slightly late with those features. But when Apple do something, they do it well. All these other companies, whom don't even make their own software just throw out loads of 'new' tech and don't really concentrate on really bringing out a sturdy well thought out product aimed at pleasing the users, not just making money, whereas Apple do.
@iJamesPine
Then again, the built in BBQ function (catching fire) is something unique. It multi-tasks too. cooks anything in contact while charging.
@axe50 As funny as it may be, (which it is) it was a faulty USB issue.
@iJamesPine
Facts: year 1999/2000 IBM PC division (now lenovo) build the first All in one flat screen: the Netvista X40/X41 was a revolution that puts apple Imac g3 to shame; but IBM has no interest in the consumer market so they abandon the AIO project, 2 year later apple follow and build the iMac G4 and later on the iMac G5 which design inspired all imac intel to this date. Design , innovation and product quality wise I'll give a edge to lenovo over apple. Marketing wise (in consumer market) apple wins hands down.
@crak
No, I agree. Multitouch is useless unless you can actually hold the device.
Lets just repost that then.

@iJamesPine yea, iphone 4 sure did go right eh? when they started out, yellowing screens, cant really make calls, apparently gets horrible reception (if you read stuff), and now this just in! they catch fire.
@huskie fluff Yeah, I know that side, but there products are still beautiful. The laptops and desktops are just amazing. I've used them for years and they're so elegant, along with there customer service.

I am sick of you haters downranking me because you don't agree with my opinion. Like them or not, Apple deserves their success.
@Neotyguy40 Wrong, Microsoft surface Multitouch is usefull and you cannot hold it.
Let's say multitouch are usefull unless the device is too far from you to be accurate or/and at a uncomfortable angle. Same thing apply to all input devices.
what the fuck does this have to do with apple. apple doesn't make a multi-touch all in one pc. once they do, then you can start comparing it to this.
seriously. this could be a blog post about a blender and you'd all be fighting about apple instantly
This is a nice looking product ... if i had $700 of disposable income i would have already ordered one ... i really want a big touchscreen computer.
@jonbruc
Its true, but less so than on smartphones that get touched far more per square inch. Washing your hands first helps.
More important is the relationship between body and touchscreen.
Personally, I prefer them integrated into an adjustable angle desk, or just angled slightly and situated a bit low compared to the user in the kitchen. Otherwise it just doesn't feel right and your arms get tired.
HP was absolutely king in the multitouch all-in-one department, so it would be nice to see how this stacks up to it.
@angelusp I don't think useless- I can see situations that it would be useful in- but it isn't worth the effort in the long run since those times would be so few and far between- unless of course you created an embedded slide up panel that it could sit flush with your desk, but again- so damned specialized.
what happened to the meta truths?
just looking good~
