BlackBerry 6 teased again in new official video
There have been rumors that the first volley of BlackBerry 6-powered devices could launch as early as last month -- but seeing how we're still empty-handed, we may as well enjoy more high production value video pimping the biggest new features, right? RIM has published another official YouTube spot on BlackBerry 6 today showing off goodies likes aggregated social network integration, universal search, and -- of course -- the all-new WebKit-based browser coming out of last year's purchase of Torch Mobile. Interestingly, this latest video continues RIM's trend of showing 6 running only on full touchscreen phones; we can't fathom that they'd abandon the form factor that made them famous, of course, but it's becoming more and more obvious by the day that we're going to see this launch on the rumored 9800 or something very similar to it. Follow the break for the full video.

Also I want to throw in that RIM and Apple both make their own devices and choose their hardware internally. With the open competition the Android platform provides, it is more likely that they will push the devices further than either of the two forementioned companies. More competition = greater progress.
@timbucktoo Manufacturers will always make low end devices and if they have to they will just put an older version of Android on them. Android will always be fractured.
I think that now blackberry has finally surpassed the palm Treos.
that is their main competition right?
@timc Three words, largest market share. You rero.
Mostly a facelift, which is nice, but needed. Next step is attracting developers with better documentation and tools.
@SimonSage definitely. BB has more users than iPhone does. BB should adopt similar strategy as Apple app store. Now the app world is really pathetic..
One thing I will say is that it won't be fractured like a certain little green robot OS out there and it will probably work better too.
Everybody seems to hate the iPhone. So why the hell should people copy it.
Blackberry should stick to keyboard devices.
@Ruthless
there is more android copying than iphone...
I kinda like the way this looks TBH.
Don't see why everyone's merc-ing before even using it.
This from someone who has never owned a blackberry
I want to see the real thing but I am reasonably encouraged by what I see. My Bold contract is up in 11 months, don't disappoint RIM.
"Wow, i am the only one who likes this OS? It looks clean and i think nobody can explain why he says that Android or iOS is better"..
-----------
I think it looks great, I don't know what some people expect. I think people just want to be negative for the sake of being negative.
Sweet!!!!! ^_^
I gotta Say. Blackberry is attracting me with this new offering paired with the 9800. Plus these are made in Canada. And everyone knows, Canadian made products are the best made products! Good enough for Her Majesty then good enough for me!!
Snore....
It's weird, the Ui has a very muddled personality. It looks pretty dull, function does look all that impressive either.
screw you guys i like it.
I really like it. I'm really glad that BB is making moves and updating their OS. Question though, are any of the new phones that they've recently put out, will they be upgradeable? Like for example, the Bold 9700?
Well, Blackberry 6 looked just like an iPhone... but BB lacks one most important feature which can only be found on iPhone.
BB don't drop calls!!
Nice iPhone copy! lol
Its like someone said hey take android and write down all the cool features.. ok now lets take them and put them on blackberry 5 and call it blackberry 6. looks sweet though.. i mean i love android so how can I not like it..LOL
One baby step for the rest of the smartphone market, one GIANT LEAP FOR BLACKBERRY.
Blackberry rocks..!
