usual, it seems as if this deal has happened in the dark of the night, but thankfully for the curious among us, it's a bit difficult to disguise a caravan of humans escaping Québec and fleeing to Cupertino. According to a report in
The Sun as well as an independent confirmation on our end, Apple has picked up a small Canadian firm by the name of Poly9. As of now, every last employee has been relocated to California, with the couple who declined left to find other work in the Great White North. Poly9's official website is also blanked out, but in the past, the company has been credited with developing loads of
web-based mapping programs (primarily in Flash, crazily enough) as well as APIs for a handful of monolithic clients like Microsoft, Yahoo!, NORAD and MSNBC. Generally speaking, Apple tends to integrate its purchases into the workflow at a rather rapid clip, so we're actually expecting
something to come of this in the not-too-distant future. What, exactly, remains to be seen.

Did anyone notice that the web based mapping program link mentions that poly9 is flash based?

Apparently I'm late to the party..
Well google is now becoming their biggest rival in the phone market, so much so that Apple are trying to stop users using Google search on the iPhone. If they had a choice i'm sure they would have got rid of it all together but nobody would be happy about that. I guess their trying to jump in a market Google dominates now, i wouldnt be surprised if hey create their own "Apple Maps" to stick on their phones and computers as well as their own search engine sooner or later just so they can remove everything Google from their products.
I for one would have return my iphone 4 when I found that a simple pleasure of mine. flash/YouTube didn't work. if I would have been able to get signal long enough to find that out. instead I returned it because I was unable to make/complete calls. people who put up with that kind of quality/service are fools.
I mean did you buy a phone or an e-penis ?

Apple has created it`s own world , where only Apple ads are seen , there is no competition , and the users are kept dumbed-down like in North Korea.
The new Apple-Earth leaders even have the ability to vanquish anti-Apple thoughts and/or prevent them all together.
