Are (presumably) insanely expensive custom medico-grade cardreader-humping pagers really a step forward here?
I've heard of a service like it in Denmark - you go to the counter at the ER, they get your mobile number and then they'll SMS you when there's a nurse/doctor available.
I don't know what they do if your "medical problem" involves your cell phone and bizzarro rectal insertion games?
