Oh, sure --
SanDisk's 32GB microSDHC card has been "
shipping" since late March, but have you actually tried to find one? It's been a lesson in frustration for many, and while a few e-tailers have shown stock off and on, the card has generally evaded archivists who simply need an insane amount of available storage on their handset. Starting tomorrow, however, that should change. Verizon Wireless -- of all companies -- has somehow managed to become the "only retailer that offers customers the 32GB SanDisk microSDHC card." We're assuming it's referring to brick and mortar retailers, but at any rate, the gem will be on sale tomorrow at VZW outlets for $149.99, or just $99.99 if you purchase one alongside Motorola's
Droid X. The only trouble with that? You're stuck figuring out what to do with the
16GB microSDHC card that ships inside of the phone. Thank heavens for the Bay, right?

That is an awesome low priced microSD with that huge capacity. I have no problem with the 16GB as I can always store my files on that tiny one and access it whenever I want to. It comes in handy if I need to store or archived my files. There are also some gadgets that can play mp3 from microSD.
I am surprised that availability is so limited in the US. For months there are plenty of it on stock in Germany, at prices around 100 €. Admittedly, half of the retailers say they're out of stock, but there's still the other half left who offer immediate or almost immediate delivery.
I live in Australia and i have no idea about SD class. I've heard of it before and i know it has to do with the speed, but i've never seen it been made a point of in real life.
I just think it's bullshit that Motorola phone buyers get nice, big cards right off the bat, and Droid Incredible buyers had to ask for a measly 2GB card upon buying the phone.
Just doesn't feel right.
Hahaha. Class 2? 2MB/s into 32gb = 16,000 seconds = 266.66 mintutes = 4.44 hours.
It's going to take a long time to fill that card. >.
@Smurf
Update: The speeds may be similar to it's 16GB sibling:
Sequential Read : 17.914 MB/s
Sequential Write : 9.358 MB/s
Random Read 512KB : 17.922 MB/s
Random Write 512KB : 2.131 MB/s
@Smurf Yeah. Half the night. Yawn. Moving on...
after I bought my phone, I went back to verizon site to look if I can purchase another 32gb card, I found it listed for $50 with $100 off. So I bought 2 of them... not sure if it a glitch but I took advantage of it

I don't know if it was mentioned but the discount applies for the Droid incredible (150-50) don't know if it applies to other Droid devices but I'm tired of waiting for a reliable source for the card at a decent price, when a higher class comes out ill have one for music and one for movies, besides it comes with a little key chain usb reader so I don't see myself losing it as easy. I have owned an iPhone and HTC imagio and this phone is by far the best device I have used thus far (although I do miss the free version of mobile hotspot cooked into my imagio Rom) The productivity of the Incredible is perfect for my line of work, until froyo comes out for it I have the ability to move files to my device and upload or email them virtually anywhere on a reliable network on the go. I can't wait to see what this Droid has to offer and am confident in the future of HTC, but I also loved my MOTO q9m and rocked that for 3 solid years so I guess my point is buy the damn thing if u want, and don't if u can wait or are just plain cheap, and if u upgrade to the incredible online for 150$ and a 100$ removable storage 32gb microsdhc, you will have one of the most productive media and navigation with waaaaay more features than the self proclaimed giant and signal most everywhere u go as well as very little dropped calls for only 50$ more. It will be tough to live without this thing now....
meh, class 2.
