Motorola mini Droid slider caught by Mr. Blurrycam
Okay, this one's a complete and very welcome surprise -- some extremely blurry pictures and a quick video of what appears to be a smaller Motorola portrait QWERTY Android slider for Verizon just popped up on the Chinese Hiapk forums -- and yes, it's got the glowing red Droid eye. We're not sure if that means the Droid line is about to get a smaller midrange sibling or what, but Motorola's definitely pushing out some of the more interesting Android form factors lately, and this mini Droid certainly fits right in with the Flipout and the Charm. A couple more shots and the video after the break.

THERE WAY TO MANY DRIOD PHONES !!!!
@Nanosman1994
THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH SPELL CHECKERS AND UN-CAPS LOCK BUTTONS!
@Nanosman1994 DROID
@Nanosman1994
KIRF much???
@Nanosman1994 I would want something more like the Charm on Verizon. With less blur and more stock Froyo.
@MGore32 My thought exactly. They seem to change the Droid Eye every iteration. They're not going back to the original. It's a KIRF, trying to throw us off.
@MGore32
here's what to do in this situation- Go buy an evo or Droid X and be happy
@Nanosman1994
motorola makes fugly phones. perfect because android is an ugly, hacked together OS.
@MicrosoftOwns Are you really that lonely to always come into other articles and talk out of your ass?
@Nanosman1994
I've been saying this for years now. Nilay Patel IS Mr.Blurrycam!!!
Palm Pre 2?
@whySoSerious
Seriously... these pics are blurry for no god damn reason, I've come to the conclusion that most blurry shots like this, that show a device on a table are photoshopped to look blurry.
There's no explanation. What? Did this guy see the device sitting on a table, in a room and decided to just run past it and out the other door? Give me a break.
@whySoSerious?
@Plazmic Flame
Agreed. We've passed the days where cell phones and other micro camera devices take crappy photos. My 1MP flip phone can take better photos than this.
@Plazmic Flame I sort of think that they are blurry on purpose. Provides protection to the leaker of the photos when the prototype cannot be clearly identified by suits that may otherwise be able to figure out who had the opportunity to snap a pic of a prototype in a particular location at a given time.
@MicrosoftOwns haven't you got a win7 phone post to defend?
@Nanosman1994
time for hp/palm to become sue-happy.
@Wjackson25 Or you can go buy an iPhone4 and be really happy...your call muah ha ha ha!!!!
@746674 lol @ 'your -call-' muwahaha.
Why can't anybody make a stock Android phone with a 4" screen, 1 Ghz+ processor, 8MP camera and portrait QWERTY slider?
@tigercranestyle
You do know HTC and Samsung both had win mob phones with this form factor quite few years ago. The Pre is hardly original, and their keyboard implementation of the form factor stinks.
@Nanosman1994
I'm replying to your post just because I want you to get another notification email for your crappy post
@DgDeBx epic 4g. Seriously, you just described it
@Nanosman1994
and, this sure as hell isn't a good addition to the lineup.
Mini, fine, but don't make it god awful ugly, too!
@whySoSerious
CHINA gets first dibs FTW!!!
@Scrubs He said portrait, not landscape.
@Plazmic Flame
LOL they snap a photo running past it and out the door
@Nanosman1994: Welcome back Mr. Blurrycam! We did missed you! I thought he had died after all those terrible high-res and sharp images of phones started coming out...... It's good to know he's back.......
@Scrubs
The Epic 4G has a 5MP camera, a landscape keyboard, and runs TouchWiz. So, its pretty much not at all what I described.
@croggah The keyboard isn't horrible, by any means . . .
Is that a PreDroidBerry?!!! What is this new devilry?
@whySoSerious Proidberry!
@whySoSerious
Boramir ftw.
@Bhima
+2 Internets to you, good sir!
@whySoSerious
Actually, i think this is the new Moto "Blur".... :D
@N900
That doesn't sound health.
@N900 Froydberry wannts to have sex with motorola.
@N900 Froydberry wants to have sex with motorola.
Kill it!
@EggoEspada
WITH FIRE!!!
Too bad it's made by Motorola, and thus as a member of theboycott I can't buy it. And I was thinking about leaving my Nexus One for greener pastures, too.
Sucks to be you, Moto.
@starkruzr
It's worth noting that soon enough Motorola will break in half, and the government business arm will no longer be connected to the arm making phones- then I suppose you can get all the Droids you want.
Though as the phone manufacturing division is often a money-loser for Motorola anyway, I don't see why you should have a problem supporting it. (this is a joke, lest someone feel the need to correct me)
@EpsilonNot I don't see a reason to support a company that has a business practice I find anti-consumer and anti-innovation (locked bootloaders).
I'm surprised I got downranked for that remark, in fact -- I'd think most of Engadget would be with me.
@starkruzr There are multiple reasons people boycott a company, one of the first that shows up if you type in "Motorola Boycott" into Google relates to Israel... probably people mistaking it for that. (That's the mistake I made- I should note that I am not part of any such boycott movement)
@starkruzr
Not everyone feels the need to hack their phones and load custom roms.
@Shooter McGavin : Everyone should.
DroidBerry in the wild?
Kins replacement.
You would figure when you try to get a closer shot it would focus more but thats Mr Blurrycam for you
@AlienSix
they put on blurry cap on the lens on purpose to make it look more authentic.
