Motorola Rambler coming to Boost Mobile with full QWERTY on a hinge
Motorola already offers the Clutch if you're looking to get your text on through Boost Mobile -- but what if you want that oh-so-rare combination of full QWERTY plus a clamshell form factor? That's pretty hard to find regardless of carrier or network technology, but it looks like Moto is going to deliver with a phone called the Rambler featuring a 1.3 megapixel cam with video capture, stereo Bluetooth, GPS, and not much else -- in other words, like most Boost devices, this one will be pretty low-end. More on price, release date, and specs as we get it.

Wow gotta have it!!
pretty nice except the huge d-pad circle thing
Why doesn't Motorola make CDMA phones for Sprint, when they make iDEN phones for their Nextel and Boost mobile portions?
@benthe1
Simple...because Sprint doesn't want them to. Motorola DID make the V950 for Sprint, but that didn't sell too well despite being a relatively solid flip phone.
But really, Sprint made its bed with Samsung...then hopped over to Palm...and now is with HTC. I'm sure one of these days, it'll move to Nokia or Motorola. Only time will tell.
My local best buy has them out on the floor already, they just don't have a price anthem yet
@mocmylov
I'm not surprised. It appears that Sprint is dead set against launching any new Motorola iDEN phones on the Nextel post-paid side. They are determined to actually eliminate the post-paid Nextel user by trying to delay the launch of any and all iDEN phones by releasing them on the pre-paid Boost side first. Can you say, INSULTING?!?
This one is a CDMA Boost phone and it's going to set you back $99.99. I popped one of these open at my store and it's not a bad little phone.
Best Buy has it for $99.99.
I'd imagine the equals texter's delight with the $50 unlimited plan.
The Motorola Rambler has a full QWERTY keyboard, plus two color displays, a 1.3-megapixel camera, threaded text messaging, and great call quality.The aptly named Motorola Rambler houses a QWERTY keyboard in a compact clamshell. Though I have questions as to the phone's ergonomics, I do like its overall aesthetic and its midrange features are decent. The Motorola Rambler is $99.99 without a contract. Keys are slightly small, but much larger in contrast to the blackberry curve. The top of the display screens remains black, even with custom wallpaper. If you're looking for a good texting phone without all the frills of a smartphone, this is a good phone. This phone is well priced and worth the money. I finally believe I have found a phone not only worth the price paid but also durable. The new Motorola Rambler mobile phone packs functionality and features IM style threaded messaging, Web browsing, digital camera and video experiences at an affordable price on the reliable Boost Mobile network. It’s the latest flip-out phone with full QWERTY keypad and enhanced messaging features, letting you juggle your daily communications in style. The cell phone is equipped with a 2.5mm headset jack.
