This looks much better than the current 360 slim since its most likely NOT glossy. And I think the controllers are pretty sweet.

I have to say, Microsoft is smart for constantly making these custom consoles for certain games, only makes their weekly sales go way up. I wish Sony would do the same more often.

@jjasper123 I wouldve gotten this a year ago, when I had an old xbox, and still played halo, but now that I got cod, I realize that halo really sucks, the fact that you can't quick zoom with weapons, and the controls kinda suck, and there's no custom classes and stuff so everyone starts with a gay assault rifle and 2 people stand in front of eachother both unloading an entire round each, and not killing eahother for 5 minutes, and melée doesn't 1 hit kill, it's fun to do ninjanaut though, where one person is the juggernaut, and they get grav hammer, and rocket launcher, cloaking, very low gravity, very high moving speed, but low health, and it's sick cause you just float around the map and you can be on one side of the map one second, and right next to the other person the next

Comparing halo to COD is like comparing apples to oranges. Personally, I'm no fan of COD. Played both games and just couldn't get into it. We're all entitled to our opinion though
@VAVA Mk 2 I was impressed with how well the 360 handles Netflix compared to the PC, i have both connected to my 57" TV and i actually like the experience a little better on the 360

@jjasper123 I'm sorry, but 400 bucks for a 5 year old console? Yikes! It's supposed to be cheaper when companies refresh the design this late in the product lifespan. I just can't justify that... even if I do want the HDMI port... and the fact that it doesn't sound like VTOL aircraft taking off.
@iamdeadfish you also get 2 controllers ($100) and a game ($60 so you're really looking at $240 for the console. not too bad eh?

I haven't touched Halo 3 since Call of Duty 4 was released.
When I play a FPS, I expect blood and gore. Not colored paint and bodies that are intact. That's why I enjoy AvP way more than Halo3.
I'm waiting for Crysis 2.

Seriously, this has got to be the best game ever to be created! I've pre-ordered the Legendary Edition of the game, and I'm planning on purchasing this console as well.
I'm just a high school nerd tutoring Calculus, Trigonometry, and Spanish--my hard work will have paid off :D

And congrats, your petty assumptions make you look like an ignorant asshat. I make $25/hour tutoring kids, which is more than I can say for any fast food employee. I then take that money and invest in stocks like APPL in order to make a profit.

You wouldn't have made 200% back unless you had invested from 10/08 to 3/09. Their stock is currently around $250 and back then it was hovering around $80-$90.
If you invested at any other time, you are doing your math incorrectly.

I would have respected that a whole lot more. When you start rattling off shit about the classes you take and how much money you make, here's a smarter option. Take that 25 bucks an hour (I'm guessing you tutor at most 4 kids a day, 3/4 days a week) take your 3-400 put 50% in a Roth IRA. if you do this. you'll have money to buy fun things and 60 yr old joseph will look back and say "Thank you VLangs, it's so awesome that I have retirement money, because the 60k a year I made as a computer programmer didn't leave any savings for me. But the 2k I put in as a 17 year old is paying dividends now that it matured in 280k 40 years later..."

@Joseph9307 I was a chemistry and physics double major at a local college. I partied a lot and flunked out. I started my own business and charge $125/hr. I could have gone to an Ivy league school straight out of HS at age 16, but I didn't want to be a dick head on a tech blog talking about how my mom would be pissed if I didn't do well in school. Do you still feel special?

People make choices for a variety of reasons. With high school I had extra-curriculars like crazy, a decent gpa, and was an ap scholar with distinction. I could have gone to a "top-tier" school,however I chose my local college of SDSU.
You want to know why? I'm a pre-med, med schools have been making a point of saying the name matters little, what they care about is grades backed up by gpa's, mcats, extracurriculars, and honors. It's far easier to graduate summa cum laude with full entrance to the local chapters of the top five honor societies at state than many other 4-years including most top-tier schools. Coupled with the fact that I get a virtually full-ride which I wouldn't have gotten had I chosen clairemont-McKenna, harvard, or ucsd.
It's not all in the name, you would do well to recognize that. Also consider that many firms, at least in the sciences look at your practical ability. I recently spoke to a hiring manager at quantum design (theta make really high grade sensor equipment, to the point where they have a virtual monopoly in their market), he stated 9/10 he'd hire a state student over a ucsd or Stanford student? Why, because the state students knew how to solder. Book work can only get you so far knowing the theory is great, but you have to learn and adapt to the specific knowledge of a job, having practical skills is often more valuable, just to keep in mind.
Btw, 25/hr sounds great, but you probably aren't doing that anywhere near full-time. And oh look I tutored kids looks good, but I suggest you look for internships relating to your field of choice as you will get experience and your resume will be more impressive than a generic, I tutored kids.

case in point:
Blackfriday 2009: the only reason i bought a 120gb PS3 was that it came free with 2 games and i had $90 Bestbuy gift certificate which allowed me to get a PS3 for $209+tax, i would have never bought a PS3 if i was gona pay full price
i bought my old HALO 3 360 also Bestbuy Gift certs and i plan to buy my REACH 360 with same gift certs i saved up until now i think i have $70 worth for this
and yeah ive never used my old Zephyr Halo 360, i dont even know if the dam thing works, i just have it on display
