Pretty sad that gouging carriers and their complicit, gouging, device-manufacturing co-conspirators think they can get away with charging you an extra $20 for something you're already paying $30 to get. I use JoikuSpot to share my 6GB Rogers plan and they can go to hell! :)

You would be better off getting a phone that can be turned into a wifi hotspot without the service provider knowing about it.

@GGG They do the same thing with tethering on AT&T. $15 to share the same amount of data that the 2GB plan @ $25 gives you. Both are a rip-off.
