The ewee-PT - segway-like but although very different: Most compact and flexible, the little personal transporter (PT) reaches a speed of at least 16km/h.
Riding this little scooter is very simple: just lean forward for accelerate the ewee smoothly and leaning backward will slow down. Steering will be done easily with a joystick – it feels like a game console -– driving pleasure is guaranteed.
The capabilities of the ewee-PT are endless: Indoor using as well as outdoor explorations will be possible. Long ways in factory halls, airports or shopping malls will be done very comfortably and quickly. And of course you will enjoy sight seeing tours and beach promenades much more without increasing air pollution.
The ewee-PT with its size of a paper sheet will carry you safely like going on rails because of the dynamic stabilization system (SFS). It reaches a max. speed of 16 km/h with a cruising range of nearly 8km.

A segway @ the bar drinking with others and a skatebord rolls up and says "hi beautiful let me buy u drink" and segway says "sure"..after 10 they take it onward to motel 6.

Looks like they have quite a bit of 'design work' to do on this model...
@DaHarder I can already imagine how much this thing will hurt once you bump or scrape against all those rivets and sharp edges... Not to mention when your pants get caught in the mechanical parts :)

okay so it's smaller compared to a segway -- but: please tell me it's a very early prototype or a first working-model...because it's ugly as hell....no design what so ever!

folding e-bike would be better - cheaper, you are siding (longer distance), most part standardised, will get over biger holes, curbs etc.

I never understood any mode of personal transportation that requires you to stand to use it.
I find standing in one position much more uncomfortable than just walking— well, unless I'm going up a really long steep hill..
Whine about the lack of industrial design, but compare the price points: Segway i2: roughly 5,900 USD, this thing is 800 EUR (something like 1-1,200 USD)... Yea, I could reason with spending THAT kind of money on a toy.
5" wheels for a smooth ride, huh? I wonder how well that self balancing system will work when the ride comes to a sudden halt going over an obstacle in the road: think old-school skateboard with steel wheels.

Not as attractive as the Segway i2, but I guess that's what you give up for the price difference. Also the range on the Ewee is only 8km (5mi) and the Segway it's up to 38km (24mi). With the Ewee you would really be buying a dinky metal toy. Let's see what Ewee comes out with next.
