Modder loveablechevy completes HandyDuo, her two year quest for portable NES and SNES bliss (video)

We never get tired of playing the classics, and we never get tired of new ways to play those classics -- especially hand-crafted portable ones. A modder by the name of loveablechevy has been working on this custom creation for over two full years now, a combination of a RetroDuo gaming system, providing NES and SNES compatibility, with a PSOne portable screen and a whopping 4,250mAh battery. The resulting creation, shown in a video after the break, looks to be on the beefy side, but we would definitely make room for it in our backpacks.

It didn't take all of 2 years. She hadn't even touched it for a year in that time. It's just a hobby/modd project done in her spare time, and the result is a professional, quality piece of work.

How did it take 2 years to tack a retrogaming handheld to a screen anyway? Mostly drivers to dump the cart to internal memory?

I went on amazon to check out the price of that game, the mario rpg game, and its 25 dollars used, and that doesn't even include shipping. I also check out another game on amazon, super metroid, 23.00 with 4.59 shipping, these games sure hold their value well.

What is the deal with PSOne LCDs? There are much better screens out there that don't get images burned in them. Not only that, but the PSOne LCD doesn't look that good.

@Rasenganfan2 the reason is that all the new screens _don't_ work like you think they will. Psone lcd screens are used because their compatible with the 30 year old internals of s/nes's.
