So much mods... so little time!.
@Evil Pikachu And yet you're wasting so much of it by having to scroll past your post.
what a sucker. now she has to pay for her games. emulation wins.
@dschu012
Yeah...droid or iphone with wiimote & emulator wins every time over these mods.
@DoctarPeppar It wins every time, except in court. :-P
@dschu012
What a sucker, now she not only has a nice gaming system, but also the satisfaction of completing a very cool DIY project.
You lose.
@pdiddy obviously she owns the cartridges so there is nothing illegal about having roms for cartridges you already own.
psp emus for the win
@sapiens
Yeah. It's very cool. But it also took two years. That's a rather hefty time investment just to be able to play old games.
I mean, congrats to her, but I think I would have spent that time differently.
@maxxorz
It didn't take all of 2 years. She hadn't even touched it for a year in that time. It's just a hobby/modd project done in her spare time, and the result is a professional, quality piece of work.
But will it blend?
@greenek piss off
@greenek Almost certainly.
mmmmmmmmm
...or you know, she could have just run all those games via ROMs on something like a PSP.
@Hazdaz
...or you know, you could just congratulate her on an excellently built self-made handheld, of which the effort alone warrants appreciation.
@Hazdaz
I rather a Moto DEXT with Eclair 2.1, running SNESoid next to fullspeed all for around US$200!!

@sapiens
Congratulations on making something neat, truly great.
But I'm sorry if I rather a Moto DEXT with Eclair 2.1, running SNESoid next to fullspeed all unlocked for US$200!!

"Her?"
@Funke Tobias Dr
Contrary to popular belief, women do browse the internet and some enjoy games and gadgets too.
@TheMike psssshhh - there's no women on the internet
@TheMike
Indeed.
@Funke Tobias Dr
If women like porn as much as men do they might use the internet more.
pics?
Love the colours of the unit and the colours and size and shape of the controls. I like the HandyDuo name, too.
Rare sights with modders to have good design and marketing instincts. She deserves to have a real video camera and tripod!
Amazing work.
This girl has a super sexy voice.
I'd prefer if she'd developed something that other people might get some use out of TBH. Every phone/portable device on earth already plays NES and SNES.
How did it take 2 years to tack a retrogaming handheld to a screen anyway? Mostly drivers to dump the cart to internal memory?
I went on amazon to check out the price of that game, the mario rpg game, and its 25 dollars used, and that doesn't even include shipping. I also check out another game on amazon, super metroid, 23.00 with 4.59 shipping, these games sure hold their value well.
Man, why don't people just go to Walmart and buy a $12 tripod if you going to even bother making a video like this...
I'm impressed. Nice job.
I think I just fell in love.
Next step, mod me a sammich
@SeanIsAHero Kidding but brilliant job
What is the deal with PSOne LCDs? There are much better screens out there that don't get images burned in them. Not only that, but the PSOne LCD doesn't look that good.
@Rasenganfan2 the reason is that all the new screens _don't_ work like you think they will. Psone lcd screens are used because their compatible with the 30 year old internals of s/nes's.
@centizen Oh, well that makes sense... kinda. Strange that newer LCDs won't work. Kinda funny how outdated tech comes back in style.
Look out Ben Heck :)
Congrats to the lady on a fine mod, nicely done.
Ben Heck's Daughter? :D
