Nikon Rumors does its best to keep an ear to the ground on DSLR whispers of a certain company. This time, however, the whispers might resonate a bit louder as they bounce off the rocky walls of Page, Arizona-based Canyons. It's here that the site claims commercial shots are or have been taken related to the Nikon
D3100, an oft-rumored memory-capturing device (at one time apparently was called the
D4000) for the company that might include
1080p video with a continuous autofocus mode.
NR seems pretty certain this camera will rear its interchangeable head for at least one of the multiple press events across Europe that Nikon has scheduled for August 19th. Then again, if it's not the D3100, we wonder what the camera maker
does have in store for then.
first to say first!!!
@Antiapple
what? I can't read your comment.. it's too transparent..
@rekit
FIRST TO SAY FIRST!!!..............HOPE THAT HELPS!!!!
@Antiapple First to say I downranked you.
@anttotarella
aww comon no need for that!!!
@Antiapple
Maybe not, but there is need for this downrank.
What are you? 12?
@Simnol
no 18
Oh hello original Omnia default background
Arizona? Why? They are anti Immigrants there..... BOOOOOOO!!
@Juggernaut408
They aren't anti-immigrant, they are anti-ILLEGAL-immigrant. BIG DIFFERENCE.
On a side note, make sure you have all your papers! I kid, I kid.
*jerk off* I really hope the 3100 lives up to my expectations. Be better if there were three versions. But if the 3100 lives up to the quality of at least to some of the better canon cameras, I'll likely purchase one.
Damn! Can't wait for Nikon's official announcement on their latest lineup or model. Hopefully we get some tech specs and some photos of the gadget soon. Aug. 19 it is... we'll see. lolol
Been waiting for the new nikons to come out. Please don't disappoint!
hope the price is lower than t2i.
Horseshoe Bend, Antelope Canyon... lots to shoot around there too. Should make for some nice sample shots.
don't you just hate comments that are totally unrelated to the topic at the first post?
Anyway, I do really hope Nikon does not disappoint as well. Those Nikon D90 needs serious upgrade which I almost bought.
Interesting, but surprising announcement.
A major and new innovation usually is reserved for high-end Nikon's which later trickles down to low-end models. I would think that the first camera would be the D700 (x or s), new full frame with af video.
But on the other hand, D90 was mid-range and only later did the high-end cameras get the feature. Most likely because video was never done before on a DSLR and Nikon did not want to take any risks.
This time the technology is more established.
If Nikon follows their sadly (so far) misinformed heart, they'll shoot 1080p24 and not something more sane such as a wide range of image collection formats.
