Motorola Flipout makes North American debut with a Rogers exclusive
In another case of Canadians getting things ahead of their southerly neighbors, the Motorola Flipout has made its journey across the Atlantic and settled on Rogers as its first North American carrier. 3-year contractual commitments will be greeted with a lowly C$30 charge for the phone, or if you can't bear the thought of being locked in for so long, you can buy the flipping thing outright for C$375. As a quick reminder, the Flipout runs on Google's Android 2.1 OS, but embellishes things a little with a freshened up variety of the Motoblur UI. If that, together with the "hip to be square" form factor, sounds like your slice of pie, we suggest you head on over to the source link and put those Canadian Dollars to good use.

And yet this ugly phone will make it's way to AT&T as usual.
that thing is kinda weird looking. Motorola should stick with a normal form factor. that backflip was just nuts. with the keyboard sharing the same space as the camera.
*blehhck* Sorry I threw up in my mouth a little when I saw that thing.
Spongebob would LOVE this phone though! Is it waterproof?
It looks even less functional than the backflip
moto blur might just be the worst skin ever!
@willielewis2
motoblur is actually very funcional and easy to use and helpfull ... i have totally adapted my cliq using blur widgets to feed my tweets, email, 4 top rss feeds, and calendar to me without having to launch one app. Everything important to me is quick glance with blur's widgets.
my only issue is i can't run new software because it's android 1.5
Are you SURE these are the folks that created the Droid X....
@Tizzle93
Yeah, this is the same company that made dozens of variations of the RAZR.
I like the form factor , cool.
I'll pass.
I've stopped expecting decent, quality phones from Moto; they scream "fail" with everything they put out. And the Droid X is not an exception either.
That's so smart and beautiful design.

Well, there you go Canadians, in case you missed the Kin 1.
Canada first? Poutine Power!
I'm beginning to think the team that does the Droid, Droid X, and Droid 2 is different from the team that creates all their low end crap. The former are for Verizon, are high end, and have an edgy look to them. The latter are GSM, are low end, and have this childish feel to them that makes them look like toys, not pieces of electronics.
As much as I think Moto is terrible from the manufacturing standpoint, this thing at least looks original.
Not saying I would buy it, but I'll applaud the imagination.
looks like eyeshadow palette
Thick and square. Didn't they learn a lesson with the KIN?
I fucking hate Rogers. After a 17-minute toll free phone call, they sent me a "low balance" reminder, saying I only had 9 cents left. When I log online to see my history, it gave me the same message I've been receiving for a month:

FUCK ROGERS.
