Oh wait... that actually was a 60s ad for Sony! Hahaha silly me :) I could not believe they actually used words and phrases like "high fidelity" back then. They did!
@buoy ...it's a bit like Megapixel and High Definition. Just give it enough time and you will understand why others in the future will find those funny too. Just a note on High Fidelity, or as it is referenced now "Hi-Fi" is still a mark for audiophile systems, so don't laugh too hard.
@phife You know whats funny, i havent had a downranked comment on engadget yet Har Har! But i guess i should prepare for downranking now. TO THE DOWNRANK BUNKER!
@Stratus41298 Its lined with 2 inches of lead and 15 inches of soundproof material, y'know to stop the sound of fanboys penetrating it, If you've ever seen the sci fi classic screamers, you'll understand what they sound like. :D
The woman in this should technically be subserviently standing behind the man wearing an oven mitt. "Even if I did know how all this works, who's going to take the pie out of the oven?"
No, she shouldn't. Obviously the women are chatting since housework is easy, and the woman doesn't do much as a homemaker, as the husband slaves away at his job to bring home the bacon.

I'd love to see these in Fallout: New Vegas. :D
@ChazClout
Lol, the moment I saw the ads, I though about Fallout

@Sean Connery You do realize he has been dead for 32 years now?
This is definitely not 60's ... It's before that, 50s or 60s.

I'd buy the skype one, and frame it. Nice work!
Needs way more smoking and drinking, for sure. But these are awesome!

Like the game Fallout
seems to be from a Brazilian source, which explains the slightly off English (and one or two questionable spellings).
So if steam punk is 19th century, what would this be? Rockwell-punk?
Either way, I want to build a computer that looks like the one in the Skype ad.
"Obviously fakes: no lowballs or cigarettes. "
Dunno cap'n They looks pretty real!
I would but the skype module only if Joan Holloway knocks on my door with her red dress.
Looks like a poster from TF2....
