It only opens up vertically (clamshell-style); you can't open it horizontally at all (landscape mode). Presumably, when there's an incoming call, the act of flipping it open will automatically accept the call, just like most (all?) clamshells. The only way to access landscape mode on this device is to flip it open vertically, and then twist the upper half 180˚.

So to accept a call, you would need to go open it up and press accept button, then go back to clamshell to hold it up to your ears?
