AT&T's bullish earnings report suggests iPhone exclusivity is almost over
You can tell a product ranks high in the public consciousness when something like this is news: AT&T's quarterly earnings report makes it sound like the telecom may finally lose its iPhone exclusivity deal. While a class-action lawsuit recently confirmed the handset was originally locked to AT&T / Cingular for a full five years, the company's Q2 SEC filing has the company making a considerable number of familiar excuses why AT&T's cellular business will thrive even "as these exclusivity arrangements end." While the iPhone isn't mentioned by name, it's hard to imagine sentences like "We believe offering a wide variety of handsets reduces dependence on any single handset" could refer to anything else -- but before you start defecting to Team Red, know there's nothing in there that suggests a date, much less proof of the fabled CDMA iPhone.

ATT is taking in strides that iPhone is an old technology and the fad is dieing. IPhone 2 years was on top but with android the game has changed smart phone landscape is changing for good

Yes! iLosers infesting Verizon!
Who cares.
If a carrier isn't gsm I ain't interested in. Period.
So since of hearing about a cdma iPhone. I hope Verizon never gets one. It obviously doesn't need it.
iphones for Sprint please?! Cause I'm really annoyed by at&t being the only iphone carriers. Wouldn't you agree?
Why all this talk about Verizon & Sprint? T-Mobile will have the iPhone and the roll out date is set for Black Friday...
Also, the reason the White iPhone is not shipping as promised is that Apple will be keeping Black with AT&T and White iPhones will be for T-Mobile...kind of an in-your-face slap to AT&T from Apple.
I won't reveal my source, but it's a good one.
Idk what everyone is talking about I pay 80 a month for 450 minutes and unlimited everything and great 4g coverage in Baltimore with Sprint whereas my gf pays 100 a month for the smallest minutes plan and unlimited data on att, I switched to get the Evo and it was a great decision same coverage around here Bs saves me 20 a month
Everyone keeps saying how cool Sprint's WiMax is and how advanced Verizon's crappy EVDO is... You cannot transmit data at the same time as a voice call on either outdated technology! Does NO ONE know this? WiMax will be phased away from mobile phones to wireless broadband only when Sprint REALLY moves to 4G, and Verizon will quickly transition away from CDMA when they move to 4G. The most logical move for iApple and technological advancement is for this:

Did somebody say CDMA iPhone? :-)
i'll jump the att ship if this is true. i love the iphone 4 but i don't exactly love att. i just hope they figure out the talk + data at the same time thing (unless im unaware of this being sorted already). its pretty important to me.
