HTC's 4.3-inch Desire HD shows up on video
We saw our first images of the Desire HD over the weekend, and just as day follows night, video leaks typically follow pictorial ones. You'll already be familiar with the mooted specs -- including 720p HD video recording, WVGA screen resolution, and an 8 megapixel imager -- so what else does this handset tour reveal? Well, the family resemblance to HTC's other 4.3-inchers is inevitably apparent to see, with the Desire HD sticking its headphone port at the bottom just like the HD2, and employing a dual LED flash à la the EVO 4G. Beyond that, it looks like yet another well rounded device from the prolific Taiwanese phone maker -- hurry past the break to see it for yourself.

Took the words right out of my mouth!
@Harp
That's seriously creepy, dude. I literally did that out loud when I saw this article rofl.
This is gonna be an amazing release of phones from HTC!
@Mike10010100
LOL me too
Gorgeous! Hoping this is at least GSM!
@Harp
Looks soooooooooooooooooo awesomeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
OMG THEY POSTED IT :D
AND SAID MY NAME!!!
*GOOGLEY EYES*
Back to the point, This phone looks amazing, I hope its GSM
@Harp wowee is right! Finally something different in the android game, something that hasn't been done before....
lol wait would it be discrimatory to say they are all starting to look alike to me?
@Harp
sure hope were gonna get this decently sized 4.3 inch screener for verizon!
i.e. not droid x sized ;)
@Harp
Indeed, But where's the HDMI?
Lack of HDMI makes it a no go for me. =(
Why are we in Europe left trailing 6 months after the US in android technology?
@Harp
Although I consider myself sort of an apple fan I wonder why these HTC leaks/announcements are not tagged as BREAKING. When a single part (lets say the antenna) of the iPhone 5 is rumored to be going to be leaked it would be breaking news on the frontpage for 5 days but these new HTC devices that look extremely hot are not breaking news? :o
(sorry if the news becomes breaking after I submit this post)
@Mr Music
Not just Europe buddy, also Australia. The only phone we have that is decent and runs Android is the HTC Desire. We have a fair few Moto Android phones but for some very strange reason we still don't have the Droid/Milestone which is plain bullshit.
@Harp i have 2 mo from my iPhone 3g contract than i`m getting THIS!!!
@Harp
That's what Borat said!!! LMFAO
@dero Reason is that apple is a very large corporation. With a lot of money, power, and influene. So when the new htcs r coming out just check out engadget. I have an iPhone 4, using it right now. I haven't had a single issue, only it's to damn slick and it slides of of my couch. Lol
Because there are about 20 android phones coming out every second
@wickywills
@Harp ehm... I still haven't seen the Htc Desire on ANY shop yet... so HD?... Get real.
@Harp AT&T....hopefully. I have an unlocked HD2 and i want to upgrade soon!!!!
@Harp ...i'm wondering...since there is a flashing green led...is da circle at the far right of the speaker grill could be da front facing camera?? Plus is it me or do anyone notice there is a small hole near the camera...is that the mic for video recording?? If yes..then there's 2 mic...which at the camera n at the bottom of the phone
@dero that's because Apple has a huge hype and lots of fanboys.
@Harp
Plastic pieces definitely make it look more like a Cyborg than an Android. Still, awesome job HTC.
@dero
Not breaking news because this is the 100th device that HTC has released this month. It's boring news. All their phones are identical and they try to release a new phone every week out doing last weeks "best phone over". They say Apple tricks it's customers into buying "Magical" devices, HTC and other Android used companies are no different.
@Harp
Well put lol. HTC continues to kick ass and take names lmao
@MrMusic
Why are we in the US always second behind Europe to get any other phone?
@dero You're full of yourself!
@williammmw
The hole to the right of the flashes is probably the noise canceling/video mic. The hole to the right of the camera is likely the speaker.
@CJisohsocool
yeah, I too hope it's GSM. CDMA gets all the android goodnedss :(.
@timalan42 joking??
NICE LOVE IT WANT IT! RIGHT NOW!
@Revolutionary Agreed. I want it now. But I'm not liking the Nipple Camera.
@WhoIsCalvin
The hell kinda nipples do you have man!??!?
@Tes
yes
@Tes Does it produce MILK!
@Revolutionary
Yea, it's a sexier younger sister of the Evo.
@Revolutionary : If it doesn't have a better GPU, then its nothing new. Just another Evo clone. :| Imagine if the EVO had a hummingbird processor in it? OMG!
@One Love Means a lot to people considering the EVO is a CDMA phone.
very very very fat phone... kind of shows the moder america in its design.
@chastiser
What are you talking about? It looks no thicker than the EVO, you don't need phones to be any thinner than this, they don't bulge or any of that crap.
@chastiser An interesting thought... I'm an European, yet I wouldn't buy anything smaller.
@chastiser
Just your average American stopping by, letting you know that there are multiple grammar and spelling issues in your post. :)
@TickLe MY eLMo
Fat is not thick. Yes, he could have said wide to be more precise; but it still made sense to the most of us that had a brain.
WANT.
What's that blur at the top left that was in other photos as well?
@zebrainez Watermark. Kinda odd one though.
@zebrainez
It looked like they were trying to hide something that was on the top left of the front of the device.. Happened twice where there is no blur while the back of the phone is in view.
@zebrainez
I'm guessing its a logo of the carrier of the phone
@zebrainez
or they are covering a front facing camera.......
Its finally time to upgrade my G1
@saintdavid Ya think? :)
