HTC's 4.3-inch Desire HD shows up on video

We saw our first images of the Desire HD over the weekend, and just as day follows night, video leaks typically follow pictorial ones. You'll already be familiar with the mooted specs -- including 720p HD video recording, WVGA screen resolution, and an 8 megapixel imager -- so what else does this handset tour reveal? Well, the family resemblance to HTC's other 4.3-inchers is inevitably apparent to see, with the Desire HD sticking its headphone port at the bottom just like the HD2, and employing a dual LED flash à la the EVO 4G. Beyond that, it looks like yet another well rounded device from the prolific Taiwanese phone maker -- hurry past the break to see it for yourself.

Lets hope it takes videos at atleast 25 fps, its sad to see an 8mp camera getting its a*s kicked by iPhone4's 5mp one. I was seriously considering the Desire a while back when i heard there will be a Desire HD, hopefully the camera in this will be better, as i`m really not sure about a 4.3 inch brick in my hands ... i really think phones become hard to hold when they go over the 4 inch benchmark ...

@Spalx Hopefully 30 fps like the iPhone or Galaxy S for that matter. i believe the Evo records in 24 fps and it kinda pales in comparison to 30 fps phones like the Galaxy S.

damn they should have had a super amoled then it would have been wicked!. im never buying a phone with lcd, i just cant look at those ugly screens anymore.
My samsung wave still gona keep me happy for quite some time :).

So it is an EVO on GSM, with no front facing camera, 4G, HDMI, with the power button on the other side and the headphone jack on the bottom, and the battery comes out of the bottom HTC Legend-style.

I gotta say, I kinda like HTC's new unintentionally asymmetric hardware design. I'd still prefer the entire back of the phone to be soft touch plastic rather than aluminum or steel or glass or anything, but I kinda like this too...

I'm guessing this is what the HTC Desire in Japan at Softbank is being replaced by

Shop staff said Japan said the HTC Desire is out of stock and is being replaced by the Desire 2..

I'd say that's a unibody design much like the HTC Legend.
I really hope that this one will be released in Europe.
We need some new HTC phones already!

Look closely at the shaded section of mobile (trying to hide the carrier), looking at length / size of the word - strong posibility its AT&T
