Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"We need a digital camera that can be switched on and fire off that first shot fast. It's not a commonly tracked statistic on any review site, and nobody seems to have this information for every camera. We were hoping other readers could inform us as to what small digital cameras can fire off their first pics in under a second (ideally under half a second). It needs to be small, but mostly, just really quick in operation. Thanks!"
The fuck? YXplayer has been able to do this for months now....
@DoctarPeppar
XY PLAYER Blows. I have never been able to play back any divx movies with out lag Audio going out of sync. Total Garbage. Have not tested this one but I hope it works better.
@DoctarPeppar Yes but that's an iPhone app; Cinexplayer's a native iPad app.
@iKid
You are Wrong buddy YX Player is native Ipad. Still sucks though..
@Kingjew
I never said it was good :|
Unfortunately CineXPlayer isn't really any better!
It won't handle high res stuff and it takes a shitload of CPU\ram just to watch standard def (software decoding obv)...prob takes a huge hit on battery as well. I'm just saying that this has been done before, so I don't see how it's news...YXPlayer has been in the appstore for awhile now -- it does exactly the same thing as this app and it is iPad compatible too...
@DoctarPeppar
Damn I was hoping for something that really works. Dr. Peppar you are 100% right. This has been done before. I guess this time they paid Josh to put the article up to give them some popularity. Waste of time. Boo.
@Kingjew
yxPlayer does blow, try oPlayer. MUCH smoother playback and can actually handle 720p MKVs.
@DoctarPeppar
Is it really such a mystery to you that the difference is that this is *officially* available through the AppStore while the other options have been jailbreak only?
You're obviously smarter than that, come on now.
@hey buddy
The fuck are you talking about idiot?
YXplayer IS in the appstore, and it has been for awhile now, and it works on the iPad in native resolution. It's basically the same exact thing as the app this article is about.
It DOES NOT require you to jailbreak.
Didn't I already say that?
Yeah I did, 3 comments above yours.
Moron.
@DoctarPeppar
Sorry bro, my bad. I've had my iPad jailbroken for a while now and I thought you were talking about YXFlash, an app on Cydia which I had gotten my hopes up for but was disappointed when it kinda sucked at playback of .avi files.
I'll look into YXPlayer... But maybe I won't; this CineXPlayer is sort of running shit right now on my iPad!
@DoctarPeppar
OK. Just tried YXPlayer, the app YOU think does the same thing. Doesn't compare to the smooth playback quality you get from CineXPlayer. Didn't even respect the aspect ratio on the videos I put in.
I think you should stop promoting YXPlayer like it's "basically the same exact thing," because it most certainly ain't.
