This time apple acts fast. Too bad for JB lover like me. I refuse to upgrade even I will live with risk for the security vulnerability.
Everything you need to know about the iPhone 4:

Apple continues to crucify it's own Jesus phone. I'll keep my resurrected iPhone 4 away from the Pharisees "update" this time around thanks.
Ok what about the iPhone 2g.. or Ipt 1g.. I guess apple just left them out in the cold..
A lil info for 3G users redsnow works to jailbreak this update to. Same way as before just point at the 4.0 ISpw
Now... Down to oblivion I go ;)
@Robby will this work even though i've updated to 4.0.1 previously?
@lanceuppercut
Yes sir it will.
Ps I don't suggest enableinf backgrounds cu that makes the phone almost unusable. Everything else including muti tasking it good:)
Sorry if you no that already I'm just making sure
Sorry Apple, I'm not gonna send my iPad back into your jail.
lol

So Apple is making us download a 250mb+ update, that stops a security breach...Can't you just jailbreak and then install the 2mb fix?
Sorry that seems to be the only sensible solution.
What no prox sensor fix? Ghey
You can also visit the Job Search Engine InovaHire.com to search jobs with the new iphone. check out their app at http://www.inovahire.com
Good luck Apple... I'm sure you'll have overlooked something somewhere!
Well, I have my SHSH blobs backed up - just in case. Still, it's sort of sad to think that Apple put out a massive 300MB update just to stop a jailbreak.
Something tells me that Apple is waiting to release complete patches until they all have been discovered. Kind of like making somebody else doing the dirty work and then Apple comes in and claims they found the secrets and then subsequently fix them in 4.1.
Kind of like Al Gore and the Internet.
"I invented the Internet!"- Al Gore.
Either way, if that is the ONLY thing they changed with iOS 4.0.2, I'm not updating. It's a good thing they can't push/force an update... *knocks on wood*
For my iPhone and iPad this adds up to almost 1GB. I think I'll wait until they're adding features instead of removing them before I update.
AS I jialbroken my iPad, and got many apps on it, like ipad video converter from ifunia and installed flash ( :) Install Flash on Your Jailbroken iPad: http://www.ifunia.com/news/install-flash-on-your-jailbroken-ipad/ ).
Hope DevTeam will do some thing....
I updated my iPhone 3G a few days ago from IOS 4.0.1 to 4.0.2 and was quite surprised to see a significant improvement in performance. The slugish performance that was introduced with 4.0 seems to have been corrected. I know that Apple did not not claim to have fixed anything, but at least for me it seems much better. Has anyone else seen this?
