Apple releases iOS 4.0.2 for iPhone and 3.2.2 for iPad, fixes PDF vulnerability

Bad news, jailbreakers: as promised, Apple's just released iOS 4.0.2 for the iPhone and 3.2.2 for the iPad, both of which close the PDF exploit used by JailbreakMe. That appears to be the only change -- it's definitely good news for anyone concerned about iOS security, although we're guessing the Dev Team is hard at work finding a new way to crack iOS open once again. We'll let you know if we find anything else -- won't you do the same?

This time apple acts fast. Too bad for JB lover like me. I refuse to upgrade even I will live with risk for the security vulnerability.

Yes sir it will.
Ps I don't suggest enableinf backgrounds cu that makes the phone almost unusable. Everything else including muti tasking it good:)

Something tells me that Apple is waiting to release complete patches until they all have been discovered. Kind of like making somebody else doing the dirty work and then Apple comes in and claims they found the secrets and then subsequently fix them in 4.1.

For my iPhone and iPad this adds up to almost 1GB. I think I'll wait until they're adding features instead of removing them before I update.

I updated my iPhone 3G a few days ago from IOS 4.0.1 to 4.0.2 and was quite surprised to see a significant improvement in performance. The slugish performance that was introduced with 4.0 seems to have been corrected. I know that Apple did not not claim to have fixed anything, but at least for me it seems much better. Has anyone else seen this?
