people keep blaming on the screen of this device and comparing it with ipad... Ipad, is a toy/ a reader, with limited usage... Resistive touchscreen is a lot more practical, for multi-purpose. Do you ever, see hospital, military, construction site use tablet, ever uses capacitive screen? None... capacitive screen exist long ago, but only uses in phones, mobile multimedia players, since they require no "writing" or any similar action. all they need to do is click/drag. If you're buying a tablet with desktop OS uses capacitive screen... you will most likely to regret...
@comscier by the way, for this product... i would say, it would be much better with active digitizer... active digitizer and resistive touchscreen are both acceptable... since they are for two different groups of consumers

Besides commercial and student use, I really don't see the need or desire by the majority of consumers to handwrite on a touch screen.
