Digital Reflex Camera concept puts the viewfinder on top, everything else in a tube
Can't say we've ever seen anything like this before... well, aside from those cameras of old that forced you to look down into the viewfinder while cradling the camera against your gut. In fact, that's exactly the experience that Yaniv Berg is attempting to recreate here, with his Digital Reflex Camera concept shaped more like a periscope and less like a camera. In theory, at least, all of the hardware would be encased in a tube, and if you flip the camera, the LCD turns into a display, creating an undercover spy device of epic proportions. Naturally, there's probably no hope that this will ever hit retail, but feel free to check back a few score from now to see just how close this was to predicting the future.

I'm getting a little sick of these pseudo design art projects.
@Take The Tang More accurately pseudo design art class projects. Take an Industrial Design class and you will have to make stuff like this. Sometimes they turn out real thou8gh. A guy in my ID class back around 1990 made what was effectively a "corner shot" pistol. Looked almost exactly the same except it had iron sights,a mirror system, and no stalk. http://www.geekologie.com/2007/12/corner_shot_gun_shoots_around.php
Upskirt just got easier !
She`s practicing for her BF.
Needs to have a flat surface on the buttom to be able to set it down and take timed shots.
"you are holding it wrong."
Penis.
Upskirt anyone?
This thing doubles as an Elk Bugle.
@NikkoTheGreeko so that's what the kids are calling them now...
"the LCD turns into a display"
What was it before...?
If you get a series of them, then you can make an internet. :)
As much as I love twin lens reflexes, there is a reason they were superseded.
Girl in the photo is a super-hipster, precisely who shit like this was designed for
too bad this "concept" is totally unpractical and unoriginal. Humans see from their eyes at head height not from belly height and to see through the eyepiece you would need a eyecup and have to hold that thing up to your face anyway.
Not only is that not a ergonomic way to hold a device, but the form is not
new or innovative. It is basically a spotting scope layout and longer lenses would be setup like a telescope.

That's a radical idea alright... I kinda wish that they had put it inside a retro-looking body though. And some sunshades to keep glare off the screen. I've used a TLR camera, and those shades do come in handy on a bright day.
ahhh, how rude.. looks like a giant phallus... lol...
i've see something like that every day when ever i go to the bathroom or take a shower.. except that is shorter and not as thick!
Great for enema's.
