I really like the iPad as learning tool, I just really think there needs to be a notes app that will transcribe your hand written notes into text, this way, you can scribble down notes with your stylus or finger, and have perfectly legible notes to read later and even share with friends who missed the lecture. If there is such an app PLEASE let me know because I couldn't find one. This aside, I like this article, the iPad can do a lot in the way of studies and I respect that a lot!
@iBurley you cant do that, becuase the ipda is not pressure sensative, so you would have to write with your finger like a 5 year old in cart class, im sure people would love to do that huh?
Why would you want to scribble notes by hand? If you're beyond junior high, you should be able to type way faster than you can write. That's why the iPad and any other tablet is bullshit for note-taking.
@Information Central, I wouldn't say all tablets. I've seen a few with those Lenovo's. Drawing out the charts and formulas seems much quicker. And when it's not quicker it can be switched for typing. Also agree OneNote is amazing.
@Templarian yea, i have a friend with a lifebook, there freaken awsome. the screen can rotate both ways (unlike certain hp laptops) and they dont crash (again unlike certain hp laptops)

@dmccall
OneNote isn't an iPad app, that's what I'm looking for but I want an app like NoteTaker HD to be able to transcribe my writting to text.
