This phone is no where near that much of a copy. Engadget, you are disappointing me with your obvious bias in this case.
Might as well call anything with a GSM radio an iPhone copy if we're going to be that general with what an 'iPhone' contains. I guess the next iPhone/iPads are Droid wannabes too huh? They have a CDMA radio!

@iroq d mullet The Sony Xperia X1 released around 2008 was a touch screen phone with "retina display". That makes both the iphone4 and the m9 xperia ripoffs!

@gm76 I have a Sony Xperia X1. It is a resistive touch screen and is most definitely NOT a retina display. It has the same resolution as the Tilt 2 - 640*480 if I'm not mistaken. The phone has awesome build quality but is slow and shitty otherwise. The worst $699 I ever spent in my life!
