Mushroom Networks Unveils Heavy Duty Version of the PortaBella™ Wireless Broadband Bonding™ Device
Climate Hardened PortaBella Solves a Major Pain Point by Delivering High-Speed Internet Connectivity in Extremely Harsh Environments
SAN DIEGO, CA – September 8, 2010 - Mushroom Networks, Inc. today announced a heavy duty version of PortaBella, the industry's first wireless Broadband Bonding appliance delivering the fastest available Internet connection for mobile and portable deployments. The climate hardened PortaBella targets industries such as Defense, Government, Emergency Response and many others who require high-speed Internet connectivity off-site and often times in extreme climates. PortaBella delivers Internet connectivity in environments ranging from -4 to158 Fahrenheit (-20 to 70 Celsius).
PortaBella aggregates the bandwidth capacity of as many as four USB based cellular wireless Internet access cards into a single connection. For example, combine one Verizon, one Sprint 4G, one t-mobile and one AT&T card for reliable Internet speeds upwards of 10Mbps. Because of its small form factor and light weight, PortaBella is best suited for remote or temporary offices, construction sites, inside vehicles and areas where geographical terrain makes Internet service a near impossibility.
"There are many situations where reliable high-speed Internet connectivity is either limited or simply not feasible because of rough environmental factors that place a heavy burden on network equipment," stated Cahit Akin, co-founder and CEO of Mushroom Networks. "We listened to our customers and have built a version of our popular PortaBella device that can withstand the most inhospitable elements including wind, dust, cold, heat and drastic temperature fluctuations. Businesses, government agencies and emergency response teams now have a viable option for Internet service wherever cellular broadband connectivity is available."
The environmentally hardened PortaBella is available now and currently in several trials with government agencies, law enforcement, security firms and corporations. For more information please call 858-452-1031 or visit http://www.mushroomnetworks.com.
