Interactive Group Showcases Active-i™ Sunglasses, The World's Smallest Standalone Video and Audio Recording and Playing Device At CES 2011
CHERRY HILL, New Jersey – Combining state of the art technology with stylish design, Interactive
Group successfully launched the Active-i™ Sunglasses, a video and audio recording and playing
device with polarized lenses for optimum UV-protection, at the CES 2011 last week. For instant
viewing, the sunglasses do not require a PC or laptop -instead, recorded movies and captured images can be viewed directly in playback mode on the provided monocular viewer.
The Active-i™ Sunglasses feature innovative technology that allows a built-in video camera to record video and audio content for up to two hours on the internal memory. The camera is positioned over the bridge of the nose for minimal visibility while still providing a wide recording range. Film and images can be transferred from the device to any PC or MAC via the USB cable. Additionally, Active-i™ can be connected to the TV using the TV connection cable.
"Active-i creates superior quality at a cost-effective recording experience. You can record what you see – hands free- with Active-i," said Alan Sutton, CEO, Interactive Group. "They're lightweight, making them great for traveling and capturing any experience without the hassle of a video camera in your hand!"
The device is easy to use, just push a button to start recording. A slot on the arm of the glasses allows you to input your own microSD memory card for more recording time. You can easily upload the video to your computer with the included USB cable.
"We are excited to introduce the Active-i sunglasses at a premier event such as the Consumer
Electronics Show," continued Sutton. "The sunglasses serve as a unique gift for the hard-to-shop-for on your list and their unisex design make them a great pick for men and women."
The Active-i™ includes recording camera sunglasses, USB cable, carrying case, TV connection cable, monocular viewer and cleaning cloth.
