A Copy Editor / Proofreader: Part-time (freelance) living in or around New York City or San Francisco with at least two years experience working at an established publication.

Responsibilities:
Edit, proofread and fact check copy for long-format pieces for both Engadget.com and Engadget Distro
Proofread and fact check completed pages for Engadget Distro
Qualifications:
Two years experience at an established publication or online property acting as a copy editor, fact checker or proofreader (Experience in digital publishing a must)
Extensive experience with AP style
Knowledge of the consumer electronics industry
Ability to work at break-neck speeds to turn around copy on a tight deadline
