Say hello to our future space explorers.

ICYMI: Smart Following Suitcase, NASA Wormbots and More

Today on In Case You Missed It: NASA was just awarded a patent for a crawly, amorphous robot that can climb through rubble or dusty planets, theoretically more easily than rovers with wheels and gears to gunk up.

The NUA Robotics smart suitcase is designed to follow its master around like the most obedient of dogs, since it pairs with phones over Bluetooth and is designed to follow you through airports without any heavy lifting. And researchers are mapping the natural gas leak in Southern California, now the largest such leak ever recorded.

Finally, Oculus Rift founder Palmer Luckey was caught on camera at CES as he tried out gaming platform Infinadeck. He was very casually attired, making his stroll on the treadmill just a bit more fun than usual.
