Acrylic Cowboy cases artfully expose your components, are not childproof

Here's the thing about PC cases -- they spend a good bit of time showing off how fantastic the outside of component-filled boxes can look, but generally speaking, the innards are completely overlooked. Digital Cowboy is out to dramatically reverse the trend with its Acrylic Cowboy cases, which -- by and large -- place your hardware on the outside of the case. We can't exactly see a rhyme or reason (outside of the obvious cooling benefits) as to why these were created, but so long as it stays far, far away from sodas, children and family pets, we'd say it's the perfect way to showcase what's really important in your gaming rig.

Movie Cowboy stores your HD media, outputs on-the-go

Move over Mvix, there's a new vaquero in town, and it goes by Movie Cowboy. Comically titled as such by manufacturer Digital Cowboy, this portable HD multimedia hard drive comes ready to accept whatever 2.5-inch SATA drive you want to toss within, and after you've loaded it up with material via the USB port, you can slam it down in the bundled cradle for big screen enjoyment. Said dock boasts stereo / coaxial digital / Toslink audio outputs along with component / composite / HDMI video outs. The media player itself supports a respectable quantity of file formats, including WMV, DivX HD, MPEG1/2/4, XviD, ISO, IFO, VOB, AAC, WMA, MP3 and OGG. Not that we really see this thing heading Stateside anytime soon, but those in Japan can pick one up in the coming weeks for ¥24,800 ($237). Shot of the rear is waiting after the jump.

Video: Digital Cowboy's spy pen camcorder

See the camera? Good, neither will the person you're spying on. That's Digital Cowboy's latest take on the digital spy pen. The ¥17,800 (about $175) DVR-BP features a 1-mm pinhole CMOS camera, mic, 2-hour battery, and 2GB of memory to store all your video deceit at 352 x 288 pixels and 15fps. Coming April 24th to a GAP changing room near you. Sample video of a uh, pussy cat after the break.

Digital Cowboy's CA-K7 karaoke DAP

If you don't see the need for karaoke in a DAP then you're obviously living outside of this "continent oriented" player. The CA-K7 from Japan's Digital Cowboy packs 1GB of flash, an integrated microphone, and a proprietary jack on the bottom for connecting an external mic, TV, and home audio system. It also packs enough vocal manipulation tweaks to give you a shot at fronting Jane's Addiction. Of course, it also functions as a portable player with an integrated FM tuner and support for MP3, WMA, and OGG audio at up to 12 hours per charge. Rolling out in Japan and vicinity on May 31st for ¥14,800 or about $122. Check another picture after the break.

Digital Cowboy intros webcam with telephoto lens

While it's decidedly lacking compared to some telephoto lenses we've seen, Digital Cowboy's new 7x number here should still be more than enough to make most other short-sighted webcams feel woefully inadequate about themselves. Detach that lens, however, and you're left with a fairly run-of-the-mill webcam, with a 1.3 megapixel resolution, face-tracking functionality, and video recording at up to 30 fps -- if you don't mind dropping things down to 640 x 480, that is (you'll just get 15 fps at the cam's full resolution). Those looking to put the webcam to some remotely-controlled use will also be out of luck, with the lens strictly a manually operated deal. Look for this one to hit Japan next month for 9.800 Yen, or just over $80.

So go ahead, pick 'er up (if you can) when it drops in June for an expected ¥9,980 or about $87.
