Dead ThinkPad, or postmodern art?
Marcel Duchamp—eat your heart out. Maybe this ThinkPad's owner had one too many blue-screens of death, or maybe they just wanted to turn a humble laptop into an enduring image of postmodernist art in the context of Luddism—a commentary on what it means to "reboot" (or possibly they're expressing their displeasure with Lenovo's acquisition of IBM's PC business). Despite being something we'd expect to see on any given day in a Chelsea gallery (perhaps titled Das Boot), we'll save the art-speak this time.

Actually that's the Levonos post-acquisition new model
at least its got soul
Das Boot. HAH! That's the kicker.
::crickets::
Shouldn't that be "DOS Boot"?
It's 51 bucks right now...bid on it, then fix the screen, ta dah! Cheap thinkpad...besides, shouldn't it have sensed the kick and braced for impact? Yeah, that's right stupid IBM advertising team...
i want to do that to my ibook everyday :(
Blue screen of death eh??? He could have just installed Linux/BSD. I guess it's another episode of the up-the ante (virgin mary grilled cheese) melodrama. Isn't funny thing is....Isn't Ebay "powered by IBM" hehehe.
my compaq laptop is a crap , i wanted to buy a thinkpad instead , but, it is WAY eXPensive...
and this bastard breaks the thinkpad of my dreams!!!!!
i wrote a caricatural poem for this think'
The Broken Thinkpad
Requiem in Pax , Brand New Thinkpad
you which have never booted
for you I'm sad
for you on which linux has never booted
you are in my heart forever
and every day on your tomb i will put a flower
requiem in pax , thinkpad
forever i'm sad
forever
i will remember
not bad for a poem :o) (hehehehe!!! )
not all dead thinkpads have a so nice poem the day of their death :o) :o) ;o)
