LG's Xnote Express LW40 DMB-equipped laptop

We're not sure why they're keeping on with DMB—isn't everyone on that side of the world going the way of DVB-T or DVB-H these days?—but LG's whipped up a new DMB-enabled video-centric laptop, the Xnote Express LW40. The Sonoma Centrino-based device features that hi-def broadcast goodness, a 14-inch WXGA (1280 x 768) screen, and configurations with up to an 80Gb hard drive. Ok guys, you've got our attention, now make it an XP Media Center PC, give us some DVB or at least ATSC, and we'll talk. Oh, and don't forget about importing it to the US. Kthx.
Give me a break. ATSC on a mobile device? How are going to carry the 30 ft antenna with the rotor with such a laptop?
You will just have to wait for Qualcomm, Crown Castle, Sirius, XMRadio or other ventures to offer mobile DTV in the US. All the above use a form of COFDM just like the Korean T-DMB, the European DVB-T/DVB-H, the Chinese DMB-T and the Japanese ISDB-T.
The US has the worst modulation in the world, ATSC 8-VSB. It should not even be discussed in the same millenium with the others.
France is about to start terrestrial broadcasting with COFDM DVB-T and MPEG4 AVC. That is doing it right.

One more comment.
LG is the dim bulb behind both T-DMB and ATSC 8-VSB. But they are smart enough to know better than to try this with 8-VSB even in their own country.
T-DMB is their answer for mobility in Korea. Their broadcasters resisted using 8-VSB for seven years in Korea and only acquiesced when LG promoted T-DMB and a new 5th gereration receiver for 8-VSB. This new technology is the first that should ever have seen the light of day only seven years late.
OH and within weeks of having this 5th gen technology proved out in NYC They decided to stop producing set top boxes altogether.
What the heck is DMB?
I'm certainly not the best informed person on such matters, but I believe DMB is a system for broadcasting digital television to be recieved by computers.
I saw the LW40 today at Harvey Norman(Australia) and it's a really nice machine. I would buy it myself but they are only selling versions with integrated graphics (which is rubbish) and not the promised X600's.
hallo ich habe folgendes problem auf meiner reise durch asien muste ich mir einen pc kurtzfristig besorgen bin in korea leider konnte mir niemand ein englisch sprachigen besorgen so das ich nur mit grossen problemen arbeiten kann frage giebt es deutsche oder englische softwear fuer meinen lg Lw 40 Express und wie kann ich die bekommen
