Fujitsu recalls 250,000 laptop batteries
Looks like Apple isn't the only company with batteries
giving them headaches: Fujtisu Siemens is now recalling 250,000 batteries that were shipped with a number of its Amilo
laptops. The affected models include the A7640, A1640, M1405, M1424, M1425, M7405, M7424, M7425, and Pro V2020. Unlike
the Apple case though, the problem with these batteries isn't just that they conk out too soon — these can actually
overheat and potentially cause a fire, so you might want to stop using them until you get a replacement.

Actually, Apple also has the same problems with their laptops: http://www.apple.com/support/batteryexchange/
ahhh, fujitsu engineering at its finest. great job!
actually some of apple's current powerbook laptops suffered from the same battery-fire hazard. i got a recall notice a few weeks ago from apple. must be the same manufacturer that fujitsu uses.
What do you have to say now, all you Fujitsu FANBOYS!!!???
Well, it would have been strange, if Apple had been the only manufacturer, that uses these crappy LG batteries. My PowerBook's battery didn't have to be replaced, although a new one wold have been nice ;-)
I have a S series Lifebook and this battery gets friggin hot. Shud I be worried?
